Since the beginning of time, people have spent their lives trying to figure out what their purpose in life is. They’ve asked themselves questions like, “Why am I here?” and “What is the meaning of my life?”
Astronomers should have known that the answer was and is written in the stars — all they did back then was study them!
At one point or another, everyone you’ve ever known has wanted to know their life purpose. Maybe a difficult situation had them wondering or maybe they just want to get the most out of life and figuring out why they are here is definitely the way to do so.
Whatever the reason, we’ve all been there. When nothing seems to be going right and we’re attempting to find out why we are on this Earth in the first place. My boyfriend of four years and I broke up and then I was in a huge car accident a week later that nearly killed me.
I had to postpone my college career and all of this had me wondering WTF I should do with my life. Everything I had planned for my future was turned upside down and I basically had to start from scratch.
I was left struggling to find my life purpose when it’s been laid out for me all along. Every horoscope sign has a purpose in life and while each person’s exact purpose may vary, they run along the same lines as everyone else with the same sign.
Two Geminis can have very different life purposes, but deep down their purposes have the same roots in astrology.
Are you ready to find out what your life purpose is? I’ve done the research for you. I’ve examined the stars and zodiac signs, and here's what I think it is.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries are the ones who are always trying to be better than those before them. This enthusiastic and competitive fire sign wants to create the next best thing or break a world record. The last thing an Aries wants in this life is to be slept on or stepped on.
An Aries’ purpose in life is to advance, whether it’s in technology, writing, science, etc. Whatever it is, you’ll find an Aries pushing for the next breakthrough in their field.

TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
As an Earth sign, Taurus thrives on stability. This is why a Taurus’ purpose in life is to create a reliable base with everyone she meets.
Taurus wants to be the one who can always be trusted, who will always be there when you need her. This sign wants to provide to others what they need to feel secure and wants to make sure everyone feels they have someone who cares. Taurus wants to be the backbone of their relationships, both romantic and friendly.

GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis are the social butterflies of the world. Their purpose is to bring people together. They may not even realize it, but the small chats Geminis have with strangers on the train or making sure the shy coworker is invited to drinks after a rough week really make a difference in other people’s lives.
Geminis bring those who would normally not converse together, and they help others meet that special someone or a new friend in a new city. They’re good at that.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers are put on this earth to show love to everyone and everything. As a water sign, Cancers are very in touch with their emotions of others as well as their own and their purpose is to use this gift as an advantage.
Not an evil advantage, mind you. Cancers love to use their emotional intelligence to help those around them. They are the ones who will be there when you need a shoulder to cry on or will drop everything to help you through a rough time. They are here to show the world not everyone is hardened by life.

LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Who runs the world? Leos run the world. We all know it’s actually Beyoncé who runs the world, but Leos are next. Leos want to be known and admired, so it’s no wonder their purpose is to shine.
Whether it’s walking into the spotlight or simply making their name known, Leos will be remembered when they’re gone. Bonus points if they make it before they’re gone!
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos are analytical and reliable and make sure the world keeps going ‘round. This earth sign likes to make sure everything goes as it should and wants to be there to fix it if something is out of place.
Virgos love when things run smoothly and like to keep the peace. They are always working to make things better which works out well because that’s what they’re here for. Don’t stop working, Virgos. The world needs you!
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios are here to show the world passion. They are passionate about everything they do and it definitely shows. You won’t catch a Scorpio involved in anything she isn't willing to put 100% into.
Scorpios go all or nothing and everyone around them can see how invested they are in whatever it is they do. With so many people just barely getting by and going through the motions in life, Scorpios are here to show them what life is like when you add passion to the mix.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Air signs like Libra love good communication and want to hear both sides of the story. This makes their purpose in life much needed in the world.
Libras are here to ensure the world stays balanced. Basically, Libras are the unofficial judges of the world who listen to issues and find a fair way to solve them.
A Libra can remain unbiased, which allows her to fight for the most practical cause and help the world become a better place.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
A free-spirited and curious sign like Sagittarius is on earth to discover. They are here to be a book of firsts. Sagittarius is not a fan of repetition, hence all of the new places they go and things they try.
They are all about traveling and finding new ways to do things and can’t help themselves from discovering cultures, new techniques, and more. This is why Sagittarius is meant to seek out the “new” in everything and everywhere.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns are put on this earth to show others that friends can be family. They are very invested in their actual families. Everyone knows blood runs thicker than water.
Capricorns want to prove that friends are just as dependent and important as relatives. Capricorns give true meaning to friendship and want the world to see friends are just like family.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Every Aquarius is here to demonstrate the human in each of us. Their personal investment in humanitarian efforts and love for people, in general, is enough of a reason to be here, don’t you think?
They embrace the fact that we are only human and make mistakes, but are also the first ones to step up and get involved with a good cause. Aquarius wants everyone on Earth to love each other and take care of one another rather than spread hatred and violence.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces is probably the sign most in-tune with its emotions and as a water sign, art is a valued form of expression. Their purpose is to emphasize the importance of creativity.
They know that self-expression is good for the soul and art is one of the most popular ways people express themselves. Pisces promote music, art, poetry, and every type of creative outlet people use to get their emotions and thoughts out.
They want everyone to feel completely comfortable participating. Pisces are here to reveal the true worth of art in all its forms.
