Chakra points are essential sources of energy within your body. There are seven chakras total that can be tapped into to create greater balance and abundance in your life.
In fact, each zodiac sign is associated with a power chakra point which, when utilized, can help bring great healing as well as increased resiliency and even abundance into your life.
The seven chakras make up a series of energy points that coincide with organs and nerves as well as your physical and emotional body.

1. Root chakra
Depicted in red and associated with security, stability, and survival.
2. Sacral chakra
Often shown in orange, this brings awareness of your emotions, sexuality, and creativity.
3. Solar plexus
Shown in yellow and rules over your sense of self, internal power, and your ability to be flexible within life.
4. Heart chakra
Represented by green, and stands for love, balance, and inner harmony.
5. Throat chakra
In blue, it is characterized by your ability to speak your truth and communicate effectively.
6. Third Eye chakra
Located near the brow line and represented by a dark blue color, holds reign over intuition, psychic abilities, and the gift of imagination.
7. Crown chakra
Rests atop your head and is usually shown in purple. This chakra represents the ability to step outside of your physical body and embrace your own inner sense of divine energy through spirituality, connection with those around you, and healing.
Together your chakra points work together to help you process events in life and to help you remain open to new experiences while connecting you to your most powerful energetic essence.
Your zodiac sign's most powerful chakra point can be focused on during challenging times as well as those where it feels like everything is going well.
It can be done through meditation, yoga, crystals, or even reiki, which is the practice of cleansing your energetic field and balancing your body.
Caring for your physical body often takes precedence because it is what you see most often, but your emotional and energetic body is the one that often holds onto much more than first realized.
Having greater awareness of your chakra energy points and working with your own body to release pent-up emotions or trauma can benefit not just your body overall, but your life.

The most powerful chakra for each zodiac sign
Aries (March 21 - April 19): Solar plexus
Aries energy is all about action and motivation forward. Forever the first one on the frontlines of life, being secure in your own self is a prerequisite for this.
The solar plexus chakra point rules self-confidence and your own internal power. Tap into this chakra when you need to remember who you truly are so you can move through life like the warrior that you are. Sun Salutations, a type of yoga pose, can help you open this chakra and keep it balanced for greater strength and clarity.
Taurus (April 20 - May 20): Root chakra
Taurus is an earth sign, which means that being grounded is of the utmost importance for being able to navigate the sometimes rough waters of life.
By utilizing the energy of your root chakra, you can not only find inner balance for dealing with whatever comes but also the inspiration to dream of what can be. When you are grounded and feeling balanced you are at your most powerful, which means that you will also be able to accomplish anything.
Gemini (May 21 - June 20): Throat chakra
With Gemini being an air sign ruling all types of communication, it is no surprise that the throat chakra is your most powerful energy point. If your words and actions are not in alignment or you are withholding your truth, you may lose your voice or experience a sore throat.
Spend time honoring this chakra with crystals like aquamarine which can open up your energy and help you communicate clearly.
Cancer (June 21 - July 22): Third eye chakra
The sixth chakra point is known as the third eye. This energetic portal taps into your intuition leading to greater wisdom and even more reception to visions.
As an emotional water sign, being connected to your intuitive side allows you to remain centered and focus on your own emotions versus that of others.
To open your third eye chakra, try placing an amethyst crystal in the space between your eyes to help promote greater trust in this sacred part of you.
Leo (July 23 - August 22): Heart chakra
The Sun, which is considered the heart of the zodiac, rules this sign and will encourage you to follow your own heart.
Utilize your heart chakra to come into a deeper truth with yourself so that you can practice empathy and build connections with those that matter most to you. By listening to this chakra point and practicing heart-opening poses in yoga you can receive more abundance and love from yourself and others in your life.
Virgo (August 23 - September 22): Throat chakra
Similar to Gemini, Virgo rules all aspects of communication. For you, though, communication is healing and not just about expressing ideas. You do have attention to detail which means you see things that others miss and because of that you often have a unique and valuable perspective.
To fully embrace this throat chakra, it is important to make sure that you are speaking with a purpose versus just talking.
Libra (September 23 - October 22): Sacral chakra
The sacral chakra rules over creativity, relationships, and sexuality. As one of the signs ruled by Venus, your relationships are always of immense importance to you as you strive for that inner and external feeling of balance. Being mindful of your sacral chakra and incorporating ways to feel greater balance and flexibility will allow you to harness this deep-rooted energy for greater intimacy.
Scorpio (October 23 - November 21): Solar plexus
Although you are a water sign, the solar plexus chakra is one that brings you greater confidence, strength, and determination.
You have such deep feelings that this chakra point is an asset because it gives you the confidence to embrace your feelings and act upon them. There is no sense in questioning your own feelings because they are your truth.
Agate or sunstone can help you open this energy point and allow yourself to step into greater emotional confidence which translates as greater success in life.
Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21): Sacral chakra
As a deeply sexual and sensual sign, it is important to harness the positive energy in healing that the sacral chakra represents.
Make sure that you are using your own healing powers to overcome any abandonment wounds so that you can fully embrace the powerful energy of your own sexuality. This is a life-giving force and one that you exchange with your partners. Tiger's eye or citrine can be used to cleanse this chakra and open it for greater fulfillment and intimacy.
Capricorn (December 22 - January 19): Root chakra
The root chakra point deals with your own sense of security and stability in life. So many of your goals deal with career or financial security that you often miss the most important which is found within yourself.
The root chakra can help you to feel more grounded and stable within yourself and your life which will allow you to focus on what truly adds to that rather than focusing purely on external factors for it to be fulfilled.
Aquarius (January 20 - February 18): Crown chakra
The crown chakra governs your spirituality and sense of connectedness to the world around you. While known for being fiercely independent, you are extremely motivated by the needs of the collective.
As you harness the immense power behind your crown chakra, you not only bring greater healing to yourself but also to the world around you. Spending time meditating can be extremely beneficial to connect with this powerful energy source.
Pisces (February 19 - March 20): Crown chakra
As the twelfth and final zodiac sign it is no surprise that there are a variety of powerful chakra points for you to focus on. However, as a Pisces, the crown chakra is the most intense and powerful.
You have amazing psychic gifts and a strong intuition. The crown chakra not only allows you to embrace your most mystical side but also allows you to use it for a greater purpose. As you move through your own life journey you learn that the gifts you have are meant to be shared with others and this chakra point allows you to do just that.
