The colors of an aura mean different things, and each aura reveals information about your spiritual, emotional, mental, and chakra health.

Auras come in an array of colors. A purple aura can signify a person's spirituality, while white auras might be found in people who are highly gifted and here with a unique purpose.

What do the colors of an aura mean?

Each color of an aura has its own significance and it’s important to know what your auric field is trying to reveal. These colors will express an individual’s energy field, thoughts, feelings, well-being, and spiritual awareness.

Colors have many meanings that are representative of certain energies and ambitions. Depending on your mood, it can be simple to assume what your aura color is.

Understanding what your aura is trying to reveal is one of the benefits to looking inward. And while some aura colors are rarer, there is a chance to achieve all the aura colors.

The colors of the aura are unique to us all. And there’s a chance we may not be fulfilled with all of them in our lifetime. However, the more experiences you gain and the more connected to the spiritual world you become, the bigger the possibility you give off every color throughout your life.

By understanding the colors that can be seen in the auric field, we can better know ourselves and the emotions we feel.

What are the aura colors?

While the main seven aura colors include red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and purple, additional aura colors can include pink, brown, gray, black, white, silver, gold, and rainbow. Auras can also be shades of colors, like light blue or dark yellow.

Every aura color has their own meaning that aims to show deep emotion and spiritual progress. We can better understand ourselves when we use the colors in our aura to show the connection between inner peace and outer appearance.

Nevertheless, there will be times when you’re not as in-tune with your emotions. That’s why it can be beneficial to use an aura’s color(s) to your advantage. It’s possible that your aura shows several colors, and that’s normal.

While it may be hard to distinguish between positive and negative colors, they will give you insight into what you may not even know.

Aura Color Meanings

Red Aura Color

Dark red typically show self-sufficiency, whereas clouded red signifies negative energy and repressed anger. Nonetheless, the color red is very powerful, and a red aura is associated with the root chakra.

While this may not necessarily be the best color aura to give off, red shows you that you need to focus on releasing any negative emotions.

Orange Aura Color

Orange promotes strong emotion and vitality. Bright orange is symbolic of good health and living life to the fullest, and when mixed with red, you may be feeling confident in yourself. An orange aura represents the sacral chakra.

Representing very positive emotions, the color orange can be seen when you are feeling happy, healthy, and self-assured.

Yellow Aura Color

Just like the vibrancy of the color itself, yellow indicates a playful and inquisitive nature. Yellow auras could also point to being spiritually awakened and the color is associated with the solar plexus chakra.

If you have been basking in the tiny joys of life, your playfulness might be high, resulting in giving off the color yellow.

Green Aura Color

Similar to its role in nature, green symbolizes natural healing abilities. A bluish-green color may represent a high level of power in healing, but overall, green auras correlate to the heart chakra.

There’s a chance that your profession can indicate the colors within your aura. That said, if you are a doctor, massage therapist, or counselor, you might frequently see the color green.

Blue Aura Color

The color blue represents balance and intuitive abilities; bright royal blue could indicate psychic prowess, for example. Associated with the throat chakra, blue auras sometimes find it hard to balance all the demands of everyday life.

However, if you see blue in your aura, you’re making big steps towards stability.

Purple Aura Color

Purple means that you are becoming spiritually aware and more open in areas of your life. Related to the crown chakra, people with purple auras are artistic and intuitive, and are focused on reaching their highest spiritual level.

If you have let new love in or feel content in a spiritual sense, the color purple is showing that you’re on the right path.

Indigo Aura Color

The color indigo is associated with increased perception, intuition, and tradition, and an indigo aura correlates to the third eye chakra. Indigo means you are able to sense the energy of others and see the truth.

If you have an indigo aura, you are perceptive, aware of your surroundings, and want to make a big impact on the world.

Pink Aura Color

The color pink is associated with romance and femininity; for instance, light pink often suggests a strong balance between spiritual awareness and material reality.

Are you falling more in love with your man every day? Well, then it’s safe to assume the color pink surrounds you.

Brown Aura Color

If you fear the unknown circumstances in your life, the color brown may present itself as your aura. Brown auras are associated with being egoistic, so if this color surrounds you, consider it a wake-up call.

Brown will be a part of your auric field if you're contemplating tough decisions or have anxiety for the future.

Gray Aura Color

Gray could indicate depression and anxiety, the dark side of your personality, or a blocked or stagnant energy that needs to be expressed.

Is there something you’re holding in? Seeing the color gray is your sign to let it out. Whatever it is — anger, sadness, or uneasiness — it’s time to deal with what lies in front of you.

Black Aura Color

Evidently, the color black represents some type of negativity. It might also point to an unwillingness to forgive, along with built-up anger or resentment.

The dark cloud over your head (literally and figuratively) should not be ignored. If you have a black aura, release any pent-up emotions and turn things around.

White Aura Color

Considered the rarest aura color, white typically only surrounds those who are highly spiritual, have transcended physical reality, and have let go of materialism.

Although you may not see this color within your aura, white is still something to look out for as it aims to show your spiritual progress.

Silver Aura Color

A metallic aura, silver auras are related to stability, abundance, and cosmic power. However, this aura is incredibly rare, though those with this color aura are incredibly spiritual and could have financial wealth in the future.

If you have a silver aura, you are highly creative and have a strong relationship with the spiritual realm.

Gold Aura Color

Similar to those with a silver aura, people with a gold aura are enlightened individuals who tend to be wise beyond their years. They seek higher spiritual understanding, while being compassionate and empathetic.

Those with a gold aura may go through changes in the exact color of their auric field, but their knowledgeable disposition allows them to welcome in good fortune — spiritually, emotionally, and materially.

Rainbow Aura Color

The most beautiful energy field, rainbow auras present themselves to the spiritual fifth dimension. People with a rainbow aura will most likely be spiritual teachers, healers, and lightworkers.

Seeing rainbows is another rare appearance in an aura. Nonetheless, highly special people will find a rainbow of colors in their aura.
