weheartit Here’s the thing that we know about people: they’re complicated and difficult to figure out. It takes a long time to thoroughly get to know someone and even then, you don’t know everything about them.
We have many different sides to our personalities and sometimes those sides are in direct opposition to each other. Every personality trait we have, there’s another conflicting personality trait.

If you think of characters in a play, movie, or novel, you want them to be three-dimensional, to have things about them that are surprising and not predictable. Think of the hard-drinking motorcycle dude who loves baking or the prim librarian who has a kinky side. You wouldn’t want to read about someone who was every cliché, such as the preacher who was pious and followed the bible exactly — chances are that they wouldn’t keep your interest for long.
Real people are often more complex than their fictional counterparts because there’s often no rhyme or reason to the things that they do or how they are.
Humans aren’t ever just one way. We can be difficult, not just to other people but to ourselves. How often have you done or said something that shocked not only the people around you but stunned you too?
We can’t know all our motivations, and when we do, we may not know where they came from. In order to peacefully exist with ourselves, we must accept and learn how to live with the unexpected, inappropriate, out-of-left-field things that we do or say. We need to be able to identify our conflicting personality traits and learn how to live with them.

Even a seemingly dull person probably has all kinds of surprising characteristics about them, and if you try to get to know them and find out what makes them who they are, you might find that they’re much more interesting than you ever suspected.
Hopefully, people will look past the surface and dig deep to see what makes you the complex and fascinating person that you are. You may be complicated but getting to know you is so worth it.

You're wicked smart but you don't think things through before you do them. You get impatient and would rather get lost in the moment than consider what could go wrong. It makes you impulsive to the point where you can be dangerous to yourself. Just do some research the next you decide to go on a big adventure and remember that forewarned is forearmed; if you know what can go wrong, you'll be better able to handle it (and have a better time).

TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)

You desperately want close relationships but it's very difficult for you to trust anyone, so you keep them at arm's length. Then if someone pisses you off, they're almost immediately dead to you. You can't have people practically kill themselves to get you to trust them only to be banished when they make a mistake. Try to be more flexible and tolerant of other people.

You want to be friends with everybody in theory, but in practice, you can't accept some of the major differences between you and the other person. You want to be able to match up well with a potential friend or partner and when that fails to happen, you tend to keep them at a distance. Try to celebrate those differences instead of trying to get them to conform to what you expect in a friend.

You're great in the early stages of a relationship, but once reality sets in, the romance loses its luster for you.
