Maybe you plan to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with green beer, corned beef and cabbage and rye rolls with friends or family. I know I've got mine ready to go!

For sure, you'll want to show off your mad research skills by quoting some facts, details and undercover myths about the holidays between bottoms up and a few good cheers.

Okay, maybe not. But you should know that in addition to Saint Patrick's Day being a Christian holiday, the date itself, March 17th, is also a pagan holiday with significant meaning in astrology, too. Yes, it does!

The story of St. Patrick's Day includes some mythological truths where the saint chased serpents out of the country and he is credited with bringing Christianity, (light) to Ireland which symbolically speaking was dark from lack of truth.

Tomorrow the Sun and Moon cojoin in the house of Pisces, inviting us to bring in the light of love into our hearts on the night of a dark New Moon.

This is no ordinary New Moon either, but it's the closing of a lunar cycle when the Sun, Earth and Moon align with one another blocking the rays of sunlight on the Moon allowing it to recharge its energy and cleanse itself from what's happened over the course of the last month.

Interestingly, St. Patrick's day always arrives on this spiritually significant day in astrology — a New Moon in Pisces.

It's a day that signals to all zodiac signs, pagans and non-pagans alike (Yes, some religious folk do practice astrology, too) to take prayers and supplications and render them to God, the author of the universe.

For some they refer to this energy as "the source of all light or "a higher power as (they) understand it to be". However, you call that energy, it's a day of love, forgiveness of self and others, while reflecting with intention on cleaning out darkness and inviting light.

When all zodiac signs go through a spiritual rebirth in rhythm with the universe and grow in tune with the Moon as it waxes and wanes through a new lunar cycle.

There's more to know about the intriguing connections between St. Patrick Holiday and astrology. It's believed that the New Moon rituals and the celebration of spring practiced by the Celts who St. Patrick wanted to convert into Christianity are the reasons why there's a Moon in the center of the Celtic cross that symbolizes Christianity. He was attempting to help bridge the symbolism.

The Celts considered the Moon as a guide that brought fullness of fertility into the season, and so the Moon fit their beliefs and was accepted as part of the Celtic cross.

Pisces is ruled by Jupiter and Neptune. Jupiter is a lucky planet. Coincidentally, St. Patrick is also associated with luck and he used the three leaf clover for faith, hope, and love, but we all know that a four leaf clover is when you are considered 'lucky", and so on, St. Patrick's Day you'll often find people toting a four-leaf clover instead of one with only three leaves.

What's some may find interesting on this day is that people tend to approach the day with some abandon when it comes to drinking (and drugging) and spending time just being free spirited. That was not a Catholic practice, but influenced by the Celtics. It's also the way that a double-Pisces zodiac sign might approach life, from a dream state and a want to escape the world and reach new heights above the physical realm.

Since both St. Patrick's Day and the New Moon in Pisces happens just before the Spring Solstice, it only makes sense to do little horoscope reading:
