Love, Zodiac

Take the time to do it right.

On March 8th, we will experience Jupiter in retrograde in Scorpio; this will last until July 10th, inspiring all of us to go deep and take the time to focus on what matters most to us.

Jupiter is the planet of expansion and luck; it certainly doesn’t play small and tends to enhance anything that it touches. For your zodiac sign, this means big changes in your love horoscope, as well as your relationships.

Jupiter retrogrades occur every thirteen months for approximately four months, and provides us with the time and reflection to go over a big aspect of our life before jumping in.

This means that right now, we are all aware of some big change that is on our plate, and most likely we’re unsure what to do about it. Do we just jump right in, or do we wade and take our time?

Jupiter in retrograde will be kickstarting whatever change is in the air, so taking our time won’t really be an option. But that doesn’t mean we’re going to go from zero to 60 either. With so much Piscean energy and Venus playing a part in our skies, this big change has to do with relationships, of which the focus has been on during the first eight weeks of 2018.

2018 is an "11" year, which means it’s a year of transformation and soul-calling purpose, ultimately changing all of our lives for the better and making things more authentic. A big part of us living our best possible lives is tied to our close personal relationships because they are a mirror for our own self-development.

If we are in unstable and unfulfilling relationships that stunt our emotional and spiritual growth, we will find ourselves feeling similarly about ourselves. Likewise, if we are in relationships that foster growth in all areas of our lives and inspire us to ask those big questions, we are at a time in our lives where we truly are committed to being our best possible selves.

We also tend to enter into the relationships that we think we deserve, and part of our growth should be to experience the best that life has to offer. This also includes our romantic relationships.

Jupiter rules Pisces, so while this planet currently is in Scorpio, we will still deeply be within this watery, dreamy environment that this sign is famous for. With a plethora of planets in this sign for the first week or so of March, we can expect to feel a greater depth in our emotional intuition as well as sensitivity to our environment.

Scorpio is also a water sign, although it’s less optimistic than Pisces. Scorpio is dark and rules the underworld, soulmates and sex. In many ways, this sign represents the shadow side of water signs, and with it, all that we sometimes try to repress.

Often times, we mostly enjoy staying on the surface of life without going too deep, and this is especially true in our romantic relationships. To go deep into our relationships requires vulnerability, risk and the capacity to be truthful about who we truly are and what our needs are.

Scorpio has no tolerance for anything but the ability to be real. It's difficult conversations and life changes that we aren’t sure we’re ready for, but ultimately, it’s the moments that we need in order to help us transform our souls.

We all live within the means that we born into — our default settings on how we approach relationships, friendships and even our day to day life. These default settings serve us well growing up because we know how to behave within the system that we were raised, but at some point, we all need to upgrade.

We need to be able to evaluate where we currently are, and if our default settings are helping us in our growth or are actually hindering us in moving forward in our soul development.

There may be other changes that arise in the next few weeks such as career focus, family matters and even big geographical moves, but for the most part, Jupiter in retrograde is asking us to take a closer look at what our romantic relationships are saying about our own lives.

Sometimes, we just aren’t meant to put off change, so this retrograde is unlike a Mercury one in which we’re advised to not begin anything new. Instead, this is precisely the time to begin whatever project or relationship that is trying to come into fruition, without hesitate or delay.

But that doesn’t mean we’re going from a first date to an engagement immediately. In relationships that are started during a Jupiter retrograde, the first four months of the relationship move according to a different speed than other relationships. Things may move faster, but we may be taking our time working one another into our lives and learning how to blend our lives together.

It’s almost like it gives us that first initial push that we need to do it, and then we get to slow down and savor it so we don’t gloss over or forget anything important.

During this time, there will be more people entering into relationships or attempting to begin sharing their lives together in order to figure out what the greater meaning of their connection is. There may be some proposals, but only if the couple has already known one another a long period of time. More likely is that people will be moving in with one another and traveling together, all in an attempt to enjoy the process without worrying about the destination.

There’s nothing wrong with knowing what we want, but we should be taking our time to actually enjoy the process of getting it. Sometimes, we just need to slow down and remember that nothing in life should be about an end result.

Sometimes, it’s just about taking the time to just do it right and enjoy the ride along the way.
