Free yourself from emotional eating through self-care.

When I learned how to connect to my feminine energy by taking care of myself, emotionally, it freed me from my food obsessions.

How much of your life have you spent beating yourself up and in regret because you ate too much? Or because you ate your forbidden foods? Yet, another binge and backlash of beating yourself up.

The emotional eating roller coaster is not a fun way to live. I've been there. And now I can say, I am free from it.

Why do women struggle with emotional eating?

A big reason why women turn to food and emotional eating is that it's a sensual experience. You are a sensual being. And sensual experiences are healthy for your feminine soul.

We've been programmed that our sensuality is nasty or naughty, but the truth is that it's normal and natural. It's even very wholesome. When you're having a sensual experience (and it doesn't have to be in the context of sex) you are in your body. You are not in your mind.

You become much more connected to the pleasure of being in your body. And that's exactly what will free you from emotional eating.

Give yourself plenty of sensual experiences Don't let food be your only source of sensual joy. Know the difference between masculine and feminine energy and cultivate your feminine side.

Your feminine energy can help you feel more sensual — and stop over-eating.

Ultimately the solution for me was to learn how to connect to my feminine energy, instead of turning to food — learning how to feel my feelings instead of repressing them, feeling pleasure in my body, and most of all, learning how to love and honor my feminine side

Knowing how to connect to my feminine energy was truly my savior and source of sanity on my journey to food freedom. It allowed me to find other ways to feel sensual.

There are times when I still eat more than I would like. But definitely not to a place of uncomfortable fullness. And never to the point of regret and beating myself up.

What I put in my mouth goes in with zero mental conflict. And that feels amazingly good. I never thought I would get there. Especially after so many years of struggling and obsessing about food.

I could still be a bit of a slower eater but it feels awesome to be free from the emotional pain and roller coaster I endured for many years. And I want the same for you.

Here are 10 self-care habits you should adopt that can help you connect to your feminine energy:

  1. Take a bath.
  2. Take a walk.
  3. Dance sensually.
  4. Belly breathe.
  5. Cry and hold yourself.
  6. Do a guided meditation.
  7. Stop and ask yourself, "What do I need right now?"
  8. Feel the desire, and see what is underneath it.
  9. Go to your favorite yoga class.

The above list helps you focus on connecting to your feminine side instead of turning to food. Take it and put it on your fridge!
