Don't trust them for one single minute.

Duped. Conned. Scammed and taken. Who was that masked man? Who, indeed. Who is it that not only is capable of this kind of impersonal betrayal, but rather, someone who might find themselves attracted to the lifestyle of being a con artist, liar or fraud?
Does being one of the zodiac signs who are con artists take some sort of special "lack" of conscience to intentionally scam a person? Is it sociopathic or is it some kind of social anxiety over compensation? And how does a horoscope reflect this type of fraudulency?
Whatever it is that allows one person to take great and unkind advantage of another is indeed questionable. But are there "types" of people who would scam a person? Do con artists come from any particular background?
One thing does stand out: the Zodiac gives us ample proof of how one is capable of scamming another and who is rather mediocre at such an effort.
1. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
The reason you may not know you're being scammed out of your entire savings, all your emotions, and every other resource you might have at your disposal by this Cancer, is because they're pretending to be an Aquarius. Who knows, it's worked for them in the past, so why not on you?
Maybe it's because Cancer really is a homebody, that you can find them on their computer night and day hunting for victims. Nothing like a good score, says Cancer, after a hard day's work pretending to be 10 different people's dying lover.
2. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
A definite player in the con artist world. Duplicitous to the umpth degree, Scorpio see no boundaries they won't cross — though you may never cross theirs, which is why they make such good scammers and con artists.
You'll never know who they are, nor will you know their real names, gender, intention — all you'll know was that you've been hit by a smooth criminal. Hello, Scorpio. Just like the lethal animal that represents you, you set up your pray and you go briskly for the kill.
3. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Too full of themselves to really do a good job with this scamming business. They would prefer a blindly devoted follower, someone who simply wants to be next to them because of their magnanimous presence.
The idea of luring someone into a scheme seems so... besides the point. Because the point is to have people fall for them, not for the fabrication or scheme. Aries do not make very good scammers, because they want too much credit for being the mastermind and evil brain behind all things.
4. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Oh yes, if you find yourself on the end of a transaction that has suddenly left you feeling both broken in spirit as well as pocket, prepare to meet your Taurus scammer of the month. Quite good at business, they recognize the value of a sucker when they see one, and seeing one is also part of their talent.
They have a keen sense of who will fall down and who will stand up, avoiding the latter at all costs.
5. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Also known as the administrative assistants of the Zodiac, Capricorn is completely at home in the scams and con department. Patience is their virtue, and detail is what they crave; they are architects of grand schemes and if they could "accidentally" take a person's... identity, per se, they would have no problem with it, if they thought they could get away with it.
And they do get away with it, because they have the stamina to use foresight and planning. Capricorn knows how to get what they need.
6. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
This sign of the Zodiac is well equipped emotionally to destroy you emotionally, through scams, lies, betrayal and false hope. You can fully put your trust in Aquarius if you want only the very best in someone who can both rob you of all your money AND pour acid on your heart.
After you've been conned by an Aquarian, you won't even have good memories to fall back on — they'll con you out of those too.
7. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Oh, yes. Leo makes for a very gifted con artist. As it's all about confidence, Leo is right up there with the very talented and very capable. Their scam game is good.
Unfortunately for them, they'll never make it into the Big Leagues of Scammery because they have too much heart. So, a Leo may fool you and may even rip you off, but they'll probably end up reimbursing you, telling you it was all a joke just for fun.
8. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
They think they are a whole lot cleverer than they are, these Librans; however, they are too conscientious to let a prank go too far. They like to have an idea of themselves as "cool enough" to set up and design some outlandish sting, but they'd really be best off writing about it than actually doing it.
Libra would rather avoid the work and dreaded confrontation of conning a person, no matter how good they think they might be at it.
9. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Just... no. Not really confident to con. It takes a big player to want to actively destroy another's life, and Pisces really isn't up to the task. Mainly because it would take the spotlight off of their problems, which they haven't quite figured out how to market.
Still, Pisces doesn't want the trouble. They don't love misery, they just use it to get attention with, but unlike many other scammers, they don't use their pain or misfortune as a sympathy signal boost to get money, donations, goods, tickets, bills paid. Pisces prefers to be alone and not held responsible for the actions of others.
10. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Meh on the scamming talent, but don't let that think they're impervious to deceptive moves. What you might be able to get is some advice on how to avoid being scammed by total strangers. They are top notch at giving unwanted advice — and often!
The "deceptive" part about Gemini is that the reason they give you advice is to hear the sound of their own voice, because if you want to be heard by them, you'll have to wait your turn. The thing is, they actually don't care about you, your scam, your love life, your bank account. "Go away," says Gemini.
11. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
What Virgo wants from you is something you'll never give to them freely, so they tend to fall back on their wicked and most manipulative traits. Virgo does love a good bank account, it's true, and they have been known to construct some elaborate cons and fraud schemes to enact that love.
Next time you send cash, ask what the sign of the person is that you're sending it to. You never know — if it's a Virgo, you may be on your way to being duped.
12. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Honestly, if you want to scam someone, here's your sucker right here. Sagittarius, you big, beautiful, brainless wild horse. Get that mane out of your eyes; that's not the farmer handing you that hay, and that's not hay he's handing you... it's a con artist and what he's handing you are lies. Don't eat them, poor horsey!
Sagittarius can go from completely trustworthy to stone cold lizard due to one betrayal. If you're going to con anyone, stay away from this pasture.
