Some signs just can't move on.

Breaking up is one of those things that’s inevitable in most relationships, unfortunately. Some scientists have even argued that the brain reacts to heartbreak in ways similar to how it would react to physical pain or a drug addiction.
For some, it can be a very difficult and emotionally draining process. There’s nothing worse than waking up one day knowing that the person you love is no longer yours. I, myself, am not good at dealing with heartbreak.
However, there are others who can move on from it without a scratch. Instead of letting the loss of someone special take over their lives, some people think the best way to get over a breakup is to simply continue living life as if nothing happened.
Aside from heartbreak, there are some people who are just afraid of being in love and falling into a committed relationship. I used to be this way for a long time, but I believe there’s someone special out there for everyone, and even your horoscope is a good reminder of that.
If you’re in a relationship with someone who’s still scared of the waters, maybe it’s time to show them why they shouldn’t be afraid — or, better yet, get them to believe in love again. Here are the zodiac signs who are afraid of love and getting their hearts broken, ranked from most to least.
1. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Out of all the zodiac signs, Gemini handles breakups the best. Instead of obsessing over the past and things that you can no longer control, you like to plan for the future and focus on the things that make you happy.
When it comes to serious relationships, you prefer not to be in one. You have this fear of being weighed down and not being able to live the adventurous lifestyle you’ve always lived. You’re like Barney from How I Met Your Mother: You prefer to have casual relationships. Once you feel like you’re ready to move on, you’ll do so without hesitation.
2. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Heartbreak isn’t as messy for you as it may be for most people. You might be upset for a few days, but you move on easily, Sagittarius.
You’re actually the most easygoing when it comes to breakups. You like to deal with your pain and frustration by going out and having a good time. When you’re hurt, you’ll laugh your way through it while trying to stay optimistic until you’ve forgotten all about it.
3. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
You’re the most passionate and fierce of the zodiac signs, Aries. You’re eager to jump into a relationship quickly and will love your partner with everything you have. This makes heartbreak difficult for you to deal with when it does happen.
However, you believe that everything happens for a reason. You won’t let heartbreak faze you because you know that people come and go out of your life for a reason. This doesn’t make you any less enthusiastic about finding love, though. You know what (and who) is best for you, and once you realize who that is, you’ll have nothing to fear.
4. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
You like to fight your battles on your own, Cancer. You view heartbreak as just a normal part of life, something that people shouldn’t obsess over. Even when you are in genuine pain, you don’t let it interfere with your hardworking lifestyle. You’ll keep your mind focused on other things, and eventually just erase the whole thing from your conscious.
People might see you as emotionless and cold, but really you’re just very goal-oriented and don’t like to let your personal life get in the way of your responsibilities.
5. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libra, you’re the most upbeat and positive when it comes to heartbreak. The first few days after a breakup can be hard for you, but you like to do everything you can to get yourself to forget about it.
You won’t allow yourself to be down for too long and will always ask your ex if you can stay friends. If they don’t accept your offer, you’ll wish them best of luck and move on with your life.
6. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Real love is something that scares you a little bit, Virgo. You fear that if you reveal your imperfections to someone, they’ll run away from you. You have a lot of insecurities, which makes it hard for you to be okay with something serious.
Hence, moving on from a casual fling comes pretty easy for you. You’d rather keep your emotions safe than put them in the hands of someone who could potentially destroy them.
7. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
You’ll put yourself through every emotion just to free yourself from heartbreak. You’re not afraid to be vulnerable or show weakness, Pisces, you just want to get over your breakup as soon as possible.
You know that the best way to get through things is to deal with them head-on. You’re brave, strong-willed, and always prepared to deal with any emotional battle that may come your way.
8. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
You tend to have a tough time getting close to people, Aquarius. Once you do let someone in, it can be hard to stay strong emotionally once they’ve left you. You’ll let yourself grieve and be sad, but you won’t let anyone else see it.
You’ll try to keep yourself occupied in hopes of forgetting about your pain, and sometimes this will actually work for you. Heartbreak is something you know you’ll have to deal with at multiple points in your life, but that won’t stop you from chasing after true love.
9. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
You may be the most difficult zodiac sign to love, Scorpio, but you’re also one of the most sensitive. When dealing with heartbreak, you usually keep your feelings bottled up and put it all in the back of your head. You’ll keep to your normal routine, and try your hardest to think about anything except your ex.
You’re afraid to face your emotions head-on because you know that once you steer your mind in that direction, it’ll be even harder for you to get over things.
10. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
As a Leo, you tend to stay hurt for longer than you’re willing to admit. You love love and enjoy being in relationships. Which is why you don’t mind putting yourself at risk for heartbreak. You’ll give your all to the person that you’re with, and even if they don’t reciprocate, you won’t allow yourself to stay bitter for too long.
However, letting go of the pain can take a little longer for you. You’ll hang on to people for a long time, and even when you have everyone believing that everything’s okay, eventually all the hurt will catch up to you and you’ll be forced to deal with it.
11. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
It’s normal for you as a Capricorn to beat yourself up over heartbreak and failed relationships. You’ll wonder what you could’ve done differently, and obsess over all the little things you said and did that you wish you could’ve changed.
It takes a long time for you to let someone in, and sometimes you don’t even like to consider heartbreak as a possible outcome. When it does happen, you’ll drain yourself emotionally from overthinking and trying to change things that can’t be changed.
12. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Once you’re settled into a relationship, you want things to stay the same forever, Taurus. You’ll try your hardest to resist any change and won’t take "no" for an answer. You’re stubborn and sometimes let your emotions get the best of you.
You’ve always believed in love and the existence of love, but you can never be fearless in any of your relationships. Even when it’s over, it’ll take you a long time to believe it.
