This Is The Most Popular Honeymoon Destination (Seriously)

What happens on your honeymoon ... stays on your honeymoon?

In a recent study, Facebook tracked the top spots for honeymooners based on their check-in location (excluding check-ins within 20 miles of their home location) and what they was found that newlyweds are heading to Las Vegas for their post-nuptial romp around. Yes, you read it right!

Vegas, the location formerly known for it's slurred vows, frisky bachelor parties and grandeur casinos has become the number one destination for honeymoons amongst international couples. And, it's not just our friends across the globe that are running off to Vegas. For couples in the United States, Vegas is fifth most popular honeymoon spot.

Make no mistake, beaches full of white sand are nice (in fact, I'd love to be there, as we speak), but we kind of dig that couples are switching it up to Sin City — it seems more than logical to go out with a bang, considering that this is a week long sex session. How many more weeks like this will the two of you get, completely uninterrupted? By no means am I gambling gal, but I'm thinking the answer may be, not too many. So to that we say, Viva Las Vegas!

In addition, the poll showed that although Vegas was a popular destination (amongst US and International couples), pairs from the United States were less likely to check-into Las Vegas via Facebook, than their international counterparts. The top check-in getaways for US couples were:

1. Lahaina, USA

2. Castries, St. Lucia

3. Honolulu, USA

4. Montego Bay, Jamaica

5. Las Vegas, USA

6. Gros Islet, St. Lucia

7. Playa del Carmen, Mexico

8. Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

9. Ocho Rios, Jamaica

10. Cancún, Mexico

But, after all the planning and longwinded discussion about cake frosting and venues, the two of you deserve to get lost in each other and a few fruity, umbrella drinks (or tequila shooters). So the one thing that we're sure of is that wherever you decide on commemorating your wedding night (i.e. get it on), you'll be perfectly happy, because of course, the only thing that really matters when the plane lands, is that you're enjoying the company of your honey.
