Life seems to change almost immediately as we welcome the start of Aries season and the Vernal Equinox, both occurring on March 20th. These two astrological occurrences will usher in a phase of motivation, action and determination to make sure we start moving forward all those plans we had for the new year.

While there are many different transits each month, because the Sun is the center of so many, the zodiac sign this planetary body is in can affect all others.

In astrology, the Sun rules ego, the conscious self, and how we move within the world, especially how it’s perceived to the outer world. As we wrap up Pisces season, many are feeling exhausted after walking through the emotional underworld that this sign requires of us, and we’re also feeling anxious to get a move on with all the things we’ve been dreaming and planning.

The time to act is almost upon us. Aries season and the Aries love horoscope is vastly different to Pisces, and depending upon your perspective, this is a brand new year unto itself because Aries marks the start of a new astrological year as the first sign of the zodiac.

So, have no fear if your first few months of 2020 haven’t gone as planned — you were just practicing, and now you can begin the actual work.

Aries is a fire sign, which means there’s going to be quite a bit more gumption than Pisces season right off the bat. But this is also the ruler of our motivations, ambitions, desire, and more than anything else, Aries makes moves. Sometimes impulsively, at least this sign does something.

No matter how stagnant we’ve all felt, that feeling won’t last long, especially once we get out from under Mercury’s post-retrograde phase and we’re able to use what we’ve learned during that astrological period.

Combining this feeling of beginnings with the Vernal Equinox, it blooming is magnified. While depending upon hemisphere we could experience either the Autumnal or Vernal Equinox, the meaning of it in combination with Aries season is the same: Are we balanced enough to have the new beginning we’ve been dreaming of?

An equinox means there’s equal amounts of day and night. At this time, regardless of geography, that feeling of balance will be emphasized, as well as those areas where we are out of balance.

Pisces season, especially with the Mercury retrograde in this sign, brought up a lot for us, likely more than we even were aware of, and a big part of that is defining what balance means for us. Balance is not equivocal for everyone; some need more activity, others more alone time.

Yet it’s not so much in what defines balance, but if we feel balanced ourselves. This is something we’ve been working towards during the past month, looking at our emotional needs versus our physical and trying to find the peace between where the two align.

But now we are nearing the time to bloom. To act on all that arose during the retrograde and Pisces season so we can start making (big) moves in the direction we feel called to pursue.

In life, the thing that holds us back more than anything, including perceived financial status, is fear. Fear is the death of dreams, love and even ambition. In fact, sometimes without even knowing it, we subscribe to one of two paths in life: either we follow our heart, or we follow our fear, staying stuck in patterns and cycles that perpetuate our wounding and trauma that we’ve yet to heal.

But that is something we’ve all subconsciously have wanted to work on and address this year because we’re done being held back from the life we dream of simply due to  all the hurt we’ve experienced. So, it’s time to heal. It’s time to believe in yourself, and it’s time to try again until we have manifested and created the lives we spent years dreaming about.

Helping this new beginning of action is Venus moving into Gemini on April 4th.

It seems that we become stuck in wounded romantic relationships more than any other type of cycle, and in this placement, we’re going to be more open to alternate ideas and possibilities. Perhaps this means we’re going to be able to picture ourselves happy single, or maybe we’ll begin to see that if the relationship we’re in is only okay then the possibility for better does exist.

No matter what specifics may arise in your own life, being able to entertain multiple possibilities will help free up some of that stuck energy that has likely felt suffocating in recent months.

Also of benefit during Aries season is the full moon in Libra on April 7th. Libra is the sign that rules partnerships and relationships, but also is concerned with balance and fairness as well — a perfect addition to this Aries balanced energy.

Full moons are a time of completion, so it’s likely that something we began back in October of last year is ready to reach fruition around this time. Fruition doesn’t always mean that it’s ripe for the picking; instead, we might see something that began around that time in terms of relationships we’re not ready to let go of.

Once Mercury joins the Sun in Aries on April 11th, be prepared to start putting your actions where your words go, and vice versa, as it may be easier to show up than speak on why.

Although there is a certain passion to Pisces (the sign Mercury will be in prior to April 11th), Aries energy combines our deepest feelings with our desire to move ahead and try.

The one thing we have to remember is that life is ever-evolving. While we can’t predict how something will turn out, in order to see how it does, that means we need to stop being so afraid of everything going right.
