How To Encourage Each Of The Zodiac Signs Most Effectively, According To Astrology

Support and encouragement help many people to do their best and succeed. We want to encourage our loved ones to do their best, to keep going when they want to give up, and to start all over again when they fail.

However, what’s encouraging to one person may not be the right kind of encouragement to the next. That's why, when we add astrology to the mix, words of encouragement don't necessarily work for all zodiac signs.

There are many ways to encourage people and most of them don’t cost anything. One of the best things you can do is pay encouragement forward. When someone does something kind for you or gives you a compliment, doing those things for someone else can keep the positivity going.

When you actively encourage others, you strengthen their emotional security net, build their self-confidence, and motivate them to take chances and act outside of their comfort zone.

ARIES (March 21 - April 19)

Encourage Aries by lending a hand and offering to help them with anything they want. Aries tend to be overscheduled and can get overwhelmed by everything on their to-do List, so help them to keep going.

It doesn't matter what it is — even if it's something small, it will give them energy to focus on something they may really want to do but were too busy to pursue.

TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)

A simple way to encourage Taurus is to give them a gift of something beautiful like a bouquet of flowers. It will show that you care and it will be good for Taurus to see something that's not only lovely but smells good too.

You don't have to get them expensive flowers if you don't want; even flowers that you picked from your own yard will do.

GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)

You probably aren't aware of how encouraging you are to Gemini when you post positive words or thoughtful comments on their social media. Even just "liking" something or sharing it makes Gemini feel heard and in the right place, doing what they should, in the correct way.

CANCER (June 21 - July 22)

The best way to encourage Cancer is to sit down and really listen to them. Give them your full attention complete with eye-contact and open body language. Don't feel as if you have to say anything in return. This isn't a scene in a movie or a TV show; it's being there for someone you care about.

Truly listening to a Cancer allows them to fully express themselves and get rid of the negative feelings weighing them down. Once that bad energy has been talked out, they are rejuvenated and ready to take on the world.

LEO (July 23 - August 22)

If you want to give Leo encouragement, tell them how much you appreciate what they're doing, how much you admire them, and what a great example they're setting for others. Sometimes we just need to hear that we're on the right track and that our efforts have not gone unnoticed.

Leos are strong, but that doesn't mean they don't need a little validation from time to time.

VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)

One of the best ways to encourage Virgo is to ask them questions and let them show you their extensive knowledge on a subject. Virgos are talented and smart, but that doesn't mean they don't like to have it confirmed by other people from time to time.

They get excited and stimulated by learning, and if you ask them about something they're not familiar with, you may stimulate them to find out more. There's no stopping a Virgo when they're motivated to find out answers.

LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)

If you want to encourage a Libra, reach out to them by text, message, or phone. You can contact them to congratulate them on something they've accomplished (no matter how small) or just let them know you were thinking of them.

Knowing they're in someone's thoughts gives Libra the energy to continue on and try to reach those goals.

SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)

Think about how Scorpio encourages you and mirror them. Do what they do. Do they hold your hand when you're doing something that's extra challenging, or do they give you motivational materials?

Scorpios aren't always straightforward with their wants, so asking them outright may not work. But think about it and then do what Scorpio does.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)

If you want to encourage Sagittarius, share positive memories with them. Although Sagittarians thrive on new experiences, there are times when not knowing can seem scary.

By reminding them of fun trips they took, interesting people they met, or incredible adventures they had, it will encourage them not to let doubt derail them and to once again get back out into the world.

CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)

Change can be hard for Capricorns, so in order to help them with it or change their mindset regarding it altogether, be sure to notice the changes they make and praise them for it. You'll help to reinforce some positive steps that Capricorn has taken and encourage them to do more of it.

AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)

Aquarians are idea people, so the best encouragement you can give them is to support their ideas (no matter how out there they may be) every step of the way, from concept to completion.

You don't want to just praise them for coming up with something innovative, you've got to be their cheerleader so they'll stay on track and finish their project.

PISCES (February 19 - March 20)

The best way to encourage Pisces is to show them some unconditional love. They do best when they feel supported, appreciated, and loved.

When they have a foundation of support, they're better able to take chances and let their imagination go wild. Sometimes it's holding their hand, and other times, it's buying their art, going to their comedy shows, or giving them a camera.
