getty The most vindictive zodiac signs just can’t let go of past injustices, hurts, grudges, and slights, so they focus on vengeance. They’re not happy until they have their revenge, even if their horoscope or an astrology guide warns against it.
You don’t want to get involved with a vindictive personality because one day, no matter how careful you are, you’re going to mess up and they’re not going to be able to rest until you’ve paid the price. They hold grudges, they’re insecure or have low self-esteem, and they feel joy in other people’s pain.
The most vindictive zodiac sign doesn't think of themselves as harsh or judgmental. To them, they like to make sure that whoever wronged them learns a lesson — and won’t do it again.
Vindictive people believe strongly in revenge — it doesn't have to be immediate; they can wait a long time until they strike.
They’re careful in their revenge-planning as they want to make sure the punishment fits the crime. They know where you are most vulnerable and that’s where they’ll strike.
If you have a vindictive personality, you’ll tend to be patient, smart, intuitive, and clever, and you don’t act impulsively or randomly. You may feel superior to other people, but that arrogance is usually covering up how sensitive you are.
Vindictive people want to get back at others for hurting them, believing that it will make them feel better, but the truth is that revenge never heals, and karma will always come back around.
Wishing someone harm because they wounded you isn’t healthy and will ultimately make you feel even worse than you did before.
So, who are the most vindictive zodiac signs?
1. Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios find it impossible to let go of a grudge, a hurt, or a slight, making them extremely vindictive. Though the way they see it, revenge is a logical reaction.
Scorpios are by far the most vindictive of all the zodiac signs and also the most savage. Never lie to a Scorpio or betray them, or they will put a target on your back.
Scorpios are very sensitive and can get hurt easily, and for some reason, the only way they can feel slightly better is to seek out revenge on the person who hurt them.
They have all the necessary skills for vengeance — they're smart, intuitive enough to know where to strike so it causes the most pain, secretive to the point that no one has any idea of what they're planning, and are manipulative and coerce people to help them.
2. Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
If you mess with a Taurus, they can be vindictive. Since they're strong and patient, they wait until you mess up again to strike. It's difficult to get them to forgive you, but it's possible — just be prepared to work at it.
The good thing about Taurus's need for revenge is that they're very direct and open about it. They're not going to sneak up on you unawares — if a Taurus is gunning for you, they'll confront you directly and tell you exactly where you stand.
They can let go of their bad feelings if you make it worth their while, so that's something. But if you don't apologize, they'll hold a grudge against you for a long time.
3. Leo (July 23 - August 22)
Most of the time, Leos are kind and brave... unless you take something they feel is theirs or you make them jealous. In that case, all bets are off.
They can be very possessive and materialistic, which means if you steal something or someone, Leo is going to use all their resources to get them back and make you pay. And that attitude makes them one of the angriest zodiac signs, as well as, believe it or not, the big backstabbers of the Zodiac.
Once they've made up their mind, it's extremely hard to get them to change it. If a Leo is friends with someone that betrays them, they will never forgive them and may secretly wish disaster upon them. No one messes with the Lion and gets away with it.
4. Cancer (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers, one of the wildest of all zodiac signs, despite their emotional nature, can be vindictive, especially if someone they love is hurt in any way — then they become a growling mama or papa bear.
Cancers tend to expect the worst and are waiting for hurts and setbacks to happen. When someone does something that affects Cancer in a negative way, they can get ideas of revenge.
Now, their idea of revenge is usually a lot milder and gentler than Scorpio's, but it still can sting.
In addition to doing whatever they need to do to protect their loved ones, Cancer is the same way when it comes to protecting their home, and if that means getting revenge on the person or persons who caused them to lose it, then it's completely justified.
5. Libra (September 23 - October 22)
You might think that Libra with their chill attitude and dislike of conflict would make them the least vindictive of all zodiac signs, but that's not the case.
Remember: Libras have a very low tolerance for injustice, especially if that injustice has anything to do with them. Don't break the heart of a Libra or punish them when they don't deserve it, or Libra will want revenge.
Revenge for Libras is a way to balance the scales — you made their life a living hell, and they're going to return the favor. The good thing is, as angry and vengeful Libra might get, they'll get over it pretty quickly.
Libras just need to feel their anger and dream of some kind of punishment for the perpetrator; then they'll be able to forgive them and move on.
