What The Rare Jupiter-Neptune Sextile Means For Your Love Life And Relationships Until July 2020, According To Astrology
Love, Zodiac

We get a break from the looking glass when our zodiac signs experience Jupiter sextile Neptune, with Jupiter in Capricorn and Neptune in Pisces, on February 20th. This transit creates an optimistic and positive energy to help us realize we’re all human, but that doesn’t mean we deserve to suffer.

In astrology, Jupiter is the planet of optimism and expansion; whatever Jupiter touches is enhanced, bigger and better. Neptune, on the other hand, is the planet of unconditional love, dreams and spirituality.

When these two aspects sextile each other in such a sweet way, it’s about getting a boost of much-needed warmth about ourselves, our lives, and our love horoscopes.

In astrology, a sextile is when two planets are within 60 degrees of one another, which creates a harmonious aspect that ends up helping us with that good feeling energy. Sextiles also have a karmic aspect to them as well, meaning the goodness we experience now is because of actions we have previously taken, or even choices made.

A sextile can only emphasize and bring back what we’ve put out, so if around the 20th the opposite occurs, and perhaps a reality check or two crosses your path, that’s also an opportunity to reflect on your own motives and choices.

This sextile occurs rarely, sometimes even only once every ten years! The last time this sextile occurred was back in June 2011, but this year we will see three occur! This is the first, with the second on July 27th and the third on October 14th.

This is a story that is just beginning, one that is based in realizing that the life we live is determined by how we feel about ourselves. We likely won’t see the conclusion or fruition of the energy this creates until the third occurrence in October, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see some unexpected fireworks in our life beforehand.

Nothing is guaranteed in life, but what we often forget or miss in our daily life is that anything is possible. Just because we’ve had a hard life, or we’ve made choices that didn’t align with our highest selves, doesn’t mean we’re destined to live like that for the rest of our time on earth.

Every day that we wake up, the universe conspires to give us exactly what we need. Whether it’s stuck in traffic so we miss the accident ahead, or we end up with a flat tire so we get our car towed and end up meeting the love of our life, whatever happens does so purely for our benefit.

So, when we can embody this belief, and look at everything that happens as being for our best interest and growth, we can be grateful for it. It’s this gratitude that literally changes our life. No longer are we the victim in life having things happen to us, but instead saying thank you, even for that broken heart, because it enabled you to grow into a better person.

This is a lot of that Jupiter-Neptune sextile energy because things happen in life, but that doesn’t mean something good won’t come from it.

Jupiter is the planet of good luck and abundance, and in Capricorn, it’s all about breaking through any stagnant structures or beliefs that are holding us back from living a life we love. But the thing is, sometimes it’s not an external force that is affecting that, but rather, how we feel about ourselves.

Everything in life is a mirror. If we find ourselves saying, “No one wants me,” “No one loves me,” “No matter what I do, no relationship works out,” then we must look inward instead of maintaining that focus on the external, and ask ourselves those very questions. Do we want ourselves? Do we love ourselves? Do we provide that internal validation or are we putting it into the hands of others? How is the relationship that we have with ourselves?

While this is a positive transit, it doesn’t mean its affects will be superficial and fleeting. Neptune is a deep planet, one of the rulers of Pisces, with the other being Jupiter, so we are going to be in it. This isn’t the time to hide from your truth or to put off feeling it for another day, and it’s likely Pisces won’t let us do that anyway.

Together, if we lean into any questions or feelings that arise, these two planets are going to help us remember that we deserve our own love as much as anyone else in our lives. We deserve our best. To be cared for, to be loved and even to be forgiven.

This transit is going to wash us clean of so many scars that we’re still wearing from our past, because Jupiter and Neptune want us to see just how amazing we are. They want to show us what unconditional love feels like for ourselves before we even think of sharing it with anyone. They want to help us realize not only what matters most, but that we’re all human.

We all make what we think of as mistakes, and we all wish at the time we could have behaved better. But that’s life! It doesn’t mean we’re not worthy or that we need to consciously or unconsciously punish ourselves; in fact, it only means we deserve even more love.

February is an interesting month in astrology because of the Mercury retrograde, the Leo full moon, and the activity of Venus, Pluto and Uranus. But this transit is an important piece of that too. Because we can look back on our pasts all we want, have a million conversations, journal, meditate, travel or lose ourselves in other people.

But none of that is really about loving who we are and what it’s taken us to get where we are now. None of it is about living a life that we love because in order to truly love this life, we must learn how to love ourselves. A big piece of this love is recognizing that no one can give us something if we haven’t already given it to ourselves.

Thanks to the deep spirituality of Neptune, we’re going to be more inclined to take a walk on the esoteric side of life during this transit.

We’ll be able to understand how we attract what we believe we deserve, how we continue those patterns we learned as children until we consciously choose to cease them. And all of this — the acceptance, the forgiveness, hope and love are truly what makes up a life that we love because when we love us then that is all we see.
