How Each Zodiac Sign Praises Their Romantic Partner

getty One of the best ways to show your partner how much you care is to use praise. After all, who doesn’t like a few words of encouragement or a compliment now and then? By praising your partner, you let them know that you notice them, what they’re doing, and how much you’re invested in them.
Praise shows affection with words in the same way touch does. You don’t have to give them a list of how great they are or write a song for them; just a simple few words like, “You’re fearless,” or, “You have great taste” will do.
But astrology can be a major influence for how each zodiac sign praises their partner.
Everyone has their own way of doing this, and it could be overt or more subtle. Subtle is good, but you don’t want it to be so subtle that your partner doesn’t know you’re complimenting them! You also don’t want it to be so over the top that it feels forced and fake.
Saying something good about your partner shouldn’t be a challenge. If it is, you may have to examine your relationship and figure out where the problems are and what you can do about them. In the end, a little positivity can go a long way in reinforcing the love you share with your partner.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries are optimistic, competitive, and adventurous, so those are three qualities they appreciate in others. An Aries will praise their partner on a win, or how impressed they are that their partner got out of their comfort zone and tried something new.
Aries tend to be very positive and passionate people, and they know how much a kind word or a compliment can make someone feel. One example of an Aries compliment might be, "You were fearless out there," or, "I can tell you've been working out!"
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Once a Taurus sets their mind to doing something, they do it. They're persistent, dependable, but aren't too rigid not to enjoy the finer things in life. They work hard but they also reward themselves for their hard work.
A Taurus would praise their partner for achieving a goal, doing something kind to another person, or for staying true to what they believe in. Taureans are loyal, loving, and like to take their time with things that have meaning for them.
An example of a Taurus compliment might be, "I'm impressed how you didn't give up," or, "You have great taste."
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
If anyone knows how important positive words are for a relationship, it's Gemini. They're expressive, smart, and enthusiastic. Geminis don't miss anything, so their partners don't have to drop hints when they need some kind words.
Geminis are also witty, social, and know what they need to say in almost any situation. The kind of compliments Gemini would give their partner are, "You're so smart," or, "You're so interesting. I could talk to you for hours!"
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Making sure their partners feel loved is very important to Cancer. This zodiac sign is known for being caring, empathetic, and protective. Cancers want to be able to express their feelings with their loved ones, and vice versa.
They're creative, spontaneous, and may give a compliment when it's least expected so it resonates even more. The type of praise a Cancer might give to their partner is, "You're an incredible partner/sibling/child, and I'm so grateful to have you in my life," or,rhfsb "You're hilarious!"
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos are strong, charismatic, and generous. People look up to them, which could be the reason why they're born leaders. Leos make things happen and make people happy. They're a positive presence in anyone's life. They're loyal and take their relationships seriously.
Leos can be a bit vain but that doesn't mean they don't have character or that they only like what's on the surface. No, it just means that they have an appreciation of beauty. A Leo compliment might be, "You look beautiful," or, "Tonight, I'd rather hang out with you than go out with my friends."
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos are talented and it can seem as if there's nothing they can't do. They're clever, funny, creative on one side, and analytical, reliable, and practical on the other. Virgos battle perfectionism with themselves, but are less fastidious with their partners.
A Virgo compliment might be, "Wow, I can't believe how fast you solved that problem," or, "You're the only one I trust." Virgos may not be overly emotional, but you can be sure there's a lot of love behind their words.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras tend to be funny, likable, and fair. They're romantic, social, and will fight for what they believe in. When they're in a relationship, they're grateful and feel lucky. It's not unlike them to praise or thank their partner in some way, every single day.
Libras know how to compliment, but they don't say things with the only intention of flattering; they mean what they say. If they have to look for something to be complimentary about, they will. An example of Libra praise might be, "You killed it at (fill in the blank)," or, "You look amazing!"
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios are bold, enterprising, and passionate. They have the ability to make those around them feel energized and fully alive. Scorpios are people magnets and rarely find themselves alone. They do well in relationships and tend to be extremely faithful, even though they're also very sexual.
Since Scorpios are intuitive and honest, their compliments are truthful and exactly what their partners need to hear. Examples of Scorpio's praise might be, "I can't imagine spending my life with anyone else," or, "You look hot. I'll try to control myself!"
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Is there anybody more versatile, open, and enthusiastic than a Sagittarius? Probably not. They grab onto life and they don't let it go. Sagittarius individuals want to experience everything that life has to offer. They're independent, fun, and have the biggest hearts.

Capricorns are known for making some of the best partners because they're loving, patient, and wise. When a Capricorn makes future plans, you know they're going to happen. They may have many practical traits but they're never boring.

Aquarians tend to get along with all kinds of people, are brilliant at whatever they put their mind to, and will always fulfill their word when they give it. They are creative, and like to keep things fresh and unexpected.
They're not super-emotional, but that doesn't mean they don't love with their whole heart and wouldn't give their partner the world. When an Aquarius is praising their partner, it might be something like, "I'm impressed at how much you give back to the world," or, "That's a genius idea!"
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
