There’s just something about binge-watching reality television that is so captivating. There are also so many different kinds of shows to binge on, so there really is something for everyone.
You could get hooked on a dating show, a game show, a cooking show, and so much more. Even though reality television can sometimes be seen as mindless entertainment, it can be packed with funny, dramatic, and heartfelt moments that can be beautiful to watch.
Some people even say that watching reality television for a whole afternoon is their guilty pleasure, but I don’t think it’s something to feel guilty about at all.
There are so many reality shows featuring regular and relatable people that it can make you feel more connected to humanity. I don’t know about you, but when I watch reality shows I always imagine being a contestant and it provides a pleasant escape from everyday life.
When I am watching a dating show, I always imagine being on the show and who I would couple up with and sometimes it even gives me more insight into my own love life.
When I am watching a game show, I always picture how I would use my skills to win the game and it gives me a stronger sense of my strengths and how to utilize them to my advantage.
There is a lot to benefit from when watching relatable people in these televised experiences actively and competitively going after what they want.
See, there is nothing you should feel guilty about if you are watching something that is enjoyable and provides you with inspiration and self-reflection.
So don’t feel guilty when you are also 20 hours into a crazy dating show. To guide you in the right direction, here is my recommendation of what reality television show you should watch based on your zodiac sign:
ARIES (March 21 - April 19): Ex on the Beach
Any Aries will love Ex on the Beach, the dating show where the contestant's ex-boyfriend or girlfriend randomly shows up to the house to stir up some drama. It is perfect for an Aries to watch because you are fierce and fiery, like most of the contestants on the show.
The contestants also struggle throughout with trying to stay independent while evaluating their past relationships and experiences. However, they also tend to make impulsive decisions and are open to jumping into relationships.
As an Aries, you will be able to connect because you are usually independent and sometimes impulsive. The drama and fighting in the show are also heavily entertaining and you are sure to become invested early on.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20): Siesta Key
Siesta Key, from the producers of Laguna Beach, is about a group of wealthy friends who enjoy splurging and treating themselves with gifts and a lavish lifestyle. They also are trying to date and explore romantic relationships, some of which are toxic.
The cast is motivated on getting what they want and often come off as argumentative when doing so, which is a trait similar to a Taurus. You will definitely enjoy all the drama that unfolds and you will connect with their determination and drive.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20): Big Brother
As a Gemini, you tend to be very social and talkative. A Gemini should binge-watch Big Brother because it is an intellectual game that includes fun challenges and a lot of socializing.
The contestants on the show love to gossip with each other throughout and since you are nosy, you won’t be able to look away. It is also a show that requires the contestants to hide certain parts of their personality and they often lie to deceive their fellow contestants.
When watching, you get to see multiple different sides to people, which you can connect to because you also have so many intricate and different sides to your personality!
CANCER (June 21 - July 22): Keeping up with the Kardashians
The Kardashians are very emotional and moody people, which is shown throughout their show. As a Cancer, you tend to get moody and emotional as well so you will definitely fit right in with the Kardashians.

VIRGO (August 23 - September 22): Hell's Kitchen
As a Virgo, you always pay attention to the small details and tend to be a perfectionist, just like the chefs on the show. You also love to be in charge and boss people around, so you will heavily enjoy watching Gordon Ramsey do that as well.
