The Stingiest Zodiac Signs — And What They're Most Stingy About
You can be stingy with almost anything.
getty No matter how generous you are, you probably still have moments where you’re stingy. Since astrology has a lot to do with our personalities, it's evident that the stingy zodiac signs just aren’t willing to give or spend.
But money isn’t the only thing people are stingy with. You can still act this way with all kinds of things like food, patience, or time. Sometimes, you’re just in an ungenerous mood and don’t want to part with half your sandwich, or use your break at work to make reservations.
For example, once, a friend gave me a birthday present of an amazing-smelling body splash. He loved it, which is why he thought I would too, but when the scent was discontinued and my friend asked if he could replace it with a bottle of something else so he could have the remaining spray, I said no.
As long as someone acts like Ebenezer Scrooge, a little bit of stinginess is okay. Of course, if your stinginess crosses a line and hurts someone, that’s a problem.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries are stingy with their patience. Well, they don't have a lot of it anyway, so they're not going to waste it on a situation or person who doesn't deserve it.
If you're going through something and need to vent, Aries will be there for you up to a certain point, but if they think you're going on too long or they have other things to do, they may cut you off.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus are stingy when it comes to their possessions. Your Taurus next-door neighbor isn't the person whose lawn mower you ask to borrow, nor are they the person who will give you that set of vintage wine glasses you admired.
No, Taurus can be materialistic and they like their stuff. They work hard to be able to buy the things they want, and they're not going to let them go easily.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis are stingy with their attention. If something or someone bores them, they're going to move on to something more interesting. There are so many fascinating things in this world that it's a crime for Gemini to spend any more time with anything uninteresting.
Geminis have excellent social skills, so if you've lost their attention, you probably won't realize it until they're gone.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers can be stingy with their resources. If they don't know someone well or have any kind of tie to them, Cancer isn't going to recommend you for a job with their old company.
Cancers don't like to put their neck out for a stranger because they don't want to have to suffer the consequences if it doesn't work out. Cancers can be extremely cautious when it comes to putting their neck on the line.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos are stingy with credit. They don't want to share the spotlight or give someone else credit for the work they mostly did.
If Leo and another person were solidly equal in the work they did on a project, but Leo's name was on it, Leo might have a difficult time letting others know they didn't work alone. If the other person did almost all of the work, Leo would give them their due, but it still wouldn't be easy for them.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos can be stingy with money. If a group went out to dinner and someone suggests they split it evenly, Virgo will have a problem and volunteer to figure out exactly how much every person owed.
Virgo will not want to pay more than they owe because someone thinks it's easier. There have been too many times where this kind of scenario was played out and Virgo was forced to pay more than their share.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras are stingy with their promises. They're not going to give one if they don't know for sure they can deliver on it. Libras take giving their word very seriously. They won't make a promise just to placate someone, and they won't do it to make themselves look better.
If a Libra makes a promise, you know they're going to make every attempt to come through. If they don't keep their word, there's a big problem.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios are stingy with their support. Having someone's back isn't something that just happens with them; you've got to earn their trust and their friendship.
Getting a Scorpio to believe in you and what you may be fighting for doesn't come easy, but the good news is that once you have their support, they'll have your back for a very long time.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarians are stingy with their empathy. It's not that they're not compassionate — they are, they just have a difficult time not competing with people. If you had a bad day, Sagittarius' was worse; if you're exhausted, Sagittarius is a zombie.
It can be challenging for them to see things completely from someone else's point of view without putting it through a filter and connecting it to themselves.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns can be stingy with money. Money is important to them and they take care of it. If someone asks Capricorn for a loan and Capricorn thinks they're irresponsible and flaky, they aren't going to lend them any money, especially without some kind of payment plan already in place.
Capricorns are charitable, they're just not foolish and don't gamble when it comes to their hard-earned dollars.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarians can be stingy when it comes to understanding. They don't enjoy emotional outbursts, and they're more sensitive about their feelings than anybody else.
If you think you're on the edge of having a meltdown, don't go to an Aquarian for comfort. Big emotional displays make them feel very uncomfortable and they may become distant for no apparent reason.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces can be stingy with their inspiration. If something inspires them, they may want to keep it all to themselves for they can worry that if too many people know about it, it will disappear.
They don't mind talking about their work, but they may be vague on where they get their ideas or what inspires them the most, especially if it's in regards to their creative life.
