We want to show our bosses that we’re capable and that they can trust us with special projects, or prove to our loved ones that we’re good people. Sometimes we just want to make a good impression or be appreciated.
We may feel insecure about our capabilities or feel like we don’t measure up in some way. But proving oneself isn’t a one-size-fits-all kind of action, as it varies from person to person. What may impress your boss may not do much for your significant other.
When it comes to how the zodiac signs prove themselves, what unique qualities do they have that set them apart from the other signs in astrology? Sometimes the best way to prove ourselves is just to be who we are, because all of us are enough without having to plump up our achievements.
We all want to feel as if we made an impact on the world by our presence and influence. But life isn’t a quiz where you have to provide evidence that answers to your worthiness. You can see life as a series of challenges that you must face, but proving yourself shouldn't be one of them.
If you’re a good person, show respect for others, and act responsibly you’re already ahead of the game.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
To prove yourself to an Aries, say "yes" and be open to new things and challenges. Aries don't trust people who sit on the sidelines complaining; they like to be around people like themselves who have a positive attitude and an adventurous spirit.
Show Aries you don't just give lip service but that you engage and participate. Experience things for yourself instead of living vicariously through others.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
To prove yourself to a Taurus, be easy to talk to and down to earth. Don't be pretentious or too full of yourself to be able to enjoy the company of others. Show Taurus that you have a generous spirit and that you are affectionate.
Stand your ground with a Taurus, but also be willing to compromise since that's not one of their strong points; someone has to give in or there'll be a stalemate.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
To prove yourself to a Gemini you must be open-minded, and excited to learn new things and discuss new ideas. Show that you're not stuck thinking about things the same way, all the time.
If you are clever and sharp, you will impress Gemini and they'll want to be around you. People who are stagnated and stuck in one place bore this zodiac sign. The less judgmental you are, the better the impression you'll make on Gemini.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
To prove yourself to a Cancer, be there when they need emotional support. Be willing to listen to them, advise them if need be, and always let them know they can depend on you and that you're not going anywhere.
The more faithful and dependable you are, the more Cancer will be able to trust you. It may take time, but after a while, they will let down their guard and let you into their heart.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
To prove yourself to a Leo, be yourself. Don't try to change who you are for Leo because that would only cause them to lose respect for you. Don't do things that make you feel uncomfortable or awkward.
If you pretend to be someone you think Leo would like, they will know the truth immediately and it will backfire. Just do you and show Leo who you really are.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
To prove yourself to a Virgo, be sensitive enough to show that you understand what they're going through, but not so much that any slight criticism from Virgo will hurt you. Demonstrate that you're intelligent and that you understand trust is something that must be earned.
There's nothing that you can do that will speed up the process of getting Virgo to trust you, so take your time and do it well.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
You can prove yourself to a Libra by learning to respect other people's points of view and learning how to see things from other perspectives, even when they're very different from yours.
If you understand that every person is unique and we're meant to be different by design, you'll confirm to Libra that you are worthy enough to be in their life and they can get along with you.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
To prove yourself to a Scorpio, show them you are focused and you do what you say you'll do. Don't lie or make empty promises to Scorpio or they will never support you in anything you endeavor to do.
Show that when you give your word, you mean it and that it's worth something. Be reliable and dependable if you want to earn Scorpio's respect and trust.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
To prove yourself to a Sagittarius, don't criticize other people's flaws, mistakes, or the little errors we all make every day. Be forgiving of yourself and others, and look for the good in every person.
Learn how to not only appreciate humor but be able to laugh at yourself without focusing on the negative aspects. Be spontaneous and learn how to be open to opportunities that present themselves without having to overthink before taking action.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
To prove yourself to a Capricorn, be conscientious. Be there when they need you, and even when they don't. Show them you're dependable and they can count on you to help lift them up when they need it.
Show them you can be silly and fun without being irresponsible, and that when given a task, you do it to the best of your ability without complaint. Be patient, steady, and behave in a rational manner, and Capricorn will see you are someone who can be trusted.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
To prove yourself to an Aquarius, never gossip or talk behind peoples' backs. Aquarians have no patience for backstabbers and gossips.
Show that you would never put someone down just to make yourself look better. Never throw someone under the bus; take responsibility for your failures and mistakes. Aquarians can't respect someone who only wants to make themselves look good, especially at the expense of others.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
To prove yourself to a Pisces, love others with an open heart, don't carry around with you past hurts, and learn how to forgive someone who has caused you pain. It takes being a bigger person to forgive those who hurt us.
If you're able to let go of the past, you're better able to focus on the love you have right now, and Pisces are all about love. If you show kindness to others and especially to animals, you will prove yourself as a good person to Pisces.
