The Worst Personality Trait For Each Zodiac Sign (And Why It's Actually A Good Thing)

getty "One man's meat is another man's poison." Outside of the fact that the expression is annoyingly male-slanted, there's some real truth to it. What one person thinks is the worst is really a matter of opinion. And that goes for what a person thinks is the best as well.
But in astrology, the stereotypes about each zodiac sign can be broken into negative zodiac traits and positive zodiac traits. Though your horoscope often reflects these personality traits, it doesn't stop us from worrying about how others perceive us.
We all have issues that we believe to be our worst traits or features, and then, out of the blue, someone will compliment us on just that feature, which will shock us but certainly show us how we're all different. Not to mention, beauty really is in the eye of the beholder — and so it goes for ugliness too.
The zodiac signs are rich with traits, features and aspects that, by stereotype, we've all come together en masse to either praise or blame. Here's an example of how the worst stereotypical behavior of the signs can actually show us how great those stereotypes can be in the long run.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Known for their pushy, headstrong behavior, Aries can most definitely be overwhelming at times. However, these folks will not back down, and that kind of brute force can be used to win cases, get things done, stop problems and end arguments, not to mention a thousand other things.
Aries is pushy, and sometimes pushy is what gets things done.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Stubborn is as stubborn does, and in Taurus' case, that ultimate stubborn nature of theirs is exactly what keeps them from getting in trouble... and sometimes what keeps YOU out of trouble as well. Taureans may drive you nuts with their stubbornness, but you'll thank them later after they've advised you to NOT do something that might have hurt you.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Gemini is known for their inability to decide. Sounds like a horror show, right? Never deciding. Even they hate that about themselves.
However, there's wisdom to be unearthed by their behavior; taking one's time allows for reflection, plus their inability forces someone to decide, and that is progressive action.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Being a homebody is Cancer's calling card, and while some might think they are the buzzkills of life, they teach a lesson of detachment by asserting their own independence. We might want to do this, do that and more, and when we see Cancer insist on staying home while we party, we have to admire them for being true to themselves. As they are.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Oh, the big show offs, always on stage, always hogging the spotlight. What egomaniacs! Or... maybe not. Maybe their sense of self is a good way for us to take a look at our own selves.
How does Leo do it, and why can't we be so gregarious to hog some spotlight? Leo teaches us that there's one life to live, so you might as well do it in the spotlight... if it makes you happy.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Known as the most judgmental of the signs, this less than desirable aspect can work very well for them in a positive way, believe it or not. That sense of discrimination kicks in as a means to protect themselves as well. It's not just used to hurt and insult, believe it or not!
Virgo has a keen sense of what's right and wrong, and often times, their gut feeling can be a life saver.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
When we think of Libra, we think of balance and kindness... and we also know how that kindness can also be used as a tool to avoid reality. What we may think of as sugary sweet falseness is actually Libra's way of figuring out if they want to be involved with whomever they are being kind to.
Libra's fake kindness is actually their patience, a thing we could all use a bit more of.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
What's the first thing that comes up when you think of Scorpio? Sadism. Their love of your pain. So, how could this possible be the best thing about them?
Well, for one, they wear their truth on their sleeve. They do not dilly dally around being sadistic, so in a way, they are right up front. Their perfect honestly and candor allows us time to run far away from them.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
They have a dire need for freedom and will choose it over anything and anyone else, every time. On one hand, it's a great thing because we all want to be free, and on the other hand, they're always escaping us.
Sagittarians enjoy being alone, and they have the nerve to let us know this. Perhaps we wish to be alone sometimes too but can't express that. That's how the arrogance of Sag's need to be alone can be a teacher for us. We need "me time" too!
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Perhaps this sign comes across as a little too stoic, maybe old-fashioned. Maybe even obnoxious in their wise old ways. While we may not want to be around Capricorn when they're on a roll, we may actually want to BE Capricorn for just that reason.
In other words, it's easier to be a Capricorn with all of its perks than to be NEAR one.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
The air head of the zodiac, and everyone knows it. We laugh at Aquarians for their hippy dippy ways and their forgetful charm, if you can call it that.
Aquarius is not as naive as you think, though, and what may come across to us as ditzy behavior is actually their way of not taking every single thing so seriously. Aquarius can teach us to lighten the hell up — a thing we could all learn to do.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
The cry baby. If only they'd stop with the waterworks every single time something emotional overtakes them. It's annoying, yes, but it also shows us that perhaps we're just too uptight to deal with real emotion.
Pisces, though overly sensitive, is "there with the people." This group feels deeply, and their profound desire to express that feeling should be a lesson to us all in how to open up our hearts.
