15 Best Memes And Tweets About Melania Trump's 'I Really Don't Care' Jacket

Why Did Melania Trump Wear An I Really Don't Care Jacket? Best Memes, Tweets And Reactions To First Lady's Green Jacket

Turns out that a lot of people care, Melania.

On Thursday, First lady Melania Trump visited the US-Mexico border to take a tour of an immigration children's shelter, and the outfit she chose to wear during her travels is causing an internet uproar.

As she boarded her plane for Andrews Air Force Base, she donned a green jacket that read: "I really don't care. Do u?" on the back. She didn't wear it when she landed but put it back on when she deplaned coming back to the base.

Melania's team insisted that the jacket — which is $39 from Zara — had no hidden meaning.

"It's a jacket. There was no hidden message. After today's important visit to Texas, I hope the media isn't going to choose to focus on her wardrobe," East Wing communications director Stephanie Grisham told CNN in a statement.

Soon after, however, her hubby President Donald Trump tweeted: "'I REALLY DON'T CARE, DO U?' written on the back of Melania's jacket, refers to the Fake News Media. Melania has learned how dishonest they are, and she truly no longer cares!"

Despite their statements regarding the message of the jacket, people and celebrities were quick to slam the first lady for seemingly saying she didn't care about immigrant children being separated from their parents.
