Most people can agree on what the word “fair” means, but when it comes to their own self-interests, things become a little more subjective. And the zodiac signs who don't fight fair, as well as their horoscope, can attest to that.
What seems perfectly fair to one person is a gross miscarriage of justice to another. Someone who’s used to fighting and scraping every day just to survive is going to have a very different idea of “fair” than someone who has enjoyed a certain level of privilege and luxury throughout their lives.
Can there really be a way to decide what is objectively fair to everyone involved, no matter what the situation? Maybe not, but if more people were willing and able to see things from others’ perspectives, that would be a big step forward. The “us vs. them” mentality is driving people farther and farther apart every day.
Astrology can help you understand what other people need and would consider fair. If conflict is inevitable, you can also figure out which days and weeks will bring transits to give you an edge over your opponent.
Some zodiac signs are more concerned with fairness than others. Here are the zodiac signs who don't fight fair, ranked from least to most shady.
1. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libra is so attuned to the idea of balance in any situation that it would be very difficult for them to do anything unfair on purpose. Libra isn’t a fighter anyway; they’re negotiators.
However, don’t assume that Libra will let anyone walk all over them. If Libra finds themselves up against someone else who’s not fighting fair, they’ll do whatever they can to even the playing field. “Fairness” only counts when everyone plays by the same rules.
2. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
When it comes to pointing out every little thing that’s wrong, Virgo pulls no punches and certainly doesn’t play favorites. Even if they’re on your side, you might feel like you’re under attack sometimes, or at least some very harsh critique.
This may not make them very popular in some crowds, but to Virgo, fixing a problem is more important than making people comfortable.
3. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries, the sign of passion and warfare, isn’t going to bother figuring out subtle ways to take advantage of anyone or anything. Sure, their battle strategy is to do whatever it takes to win, but as far as Aries is concerned, cheating requires too much planning.
Aries is more likely to just start knocking walls down, and as the old saying goes, “all’s fair in love and war.”
4. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leo wants everyone to be happy. They aren’t likely to resort to subterfuge or stacking the deck. The main thing that keeps them from being truly fair is their own self-interest: Leo really does think that they deserve to get their way.
If they realize that their behavior is really hurting other people or makes them seem like a cheater, they’re quick to apologize and try to make it right.
5. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Nothing is more important to Capricorn than achieving their own goals. They’re not out to hurt anyone else, not really, but they will do whatever it takes to succeed.
If someone gets in their way, that’s too bad — Capricorn won’t hesitate to tip the scales in their favor and remove the obstacle.
6. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
“Fair” is a subjective term: what seems right for one person seems like treason and betrayal to another. Gemini is so good at flitting back and forth between their friends and associates that they often wind up becoming directly involved in debates and feuds.
They might need to be reminded to use their communication skills to help resolve the problem, instead of getting so involved in people-pleasing that they just make it worse.
7. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces isn’t above pulling on the emotional strings now and then if they feel like they need to get the upper hand in a situation. Pisces’ signature move is the pity party: they just get so worked up over things, and then they start blaming themselves.
Soon, anyone with even half a heart forgets whatever the fight was about in the first place and tries to make Pisces feel better. This only delays the inevitable, because sooner or later Pisces will have to dry their tears and confront the problem.
8. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius often finds themselves fighting an inner battle between their inclination to be totally honest, and their love of winning. This is one of the most competitive signs, and they’re so used to being on the higher ground (or at least feeling like it) that they don’t like to give up that lofty position.
Sagittarius is known for pulling a few dirty tricks now and then, and they’re particularly good at mind games and twisted logic.
9. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus is always looking for the best value for the best price. With their astute, profit-oriented mind, they certainly aren’t above twisting any situation to their own advantage, especially if money is involved.
Taurus is a shrewd business-person and a ruthless protector. The concept of “fair” loses all meaning to them if they feel like their property is being threatened.
10. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Curious and emotionally detached, Aquarius will push people’s buttons just to see what happens.
In the grand scheme of things (which is where Aquarius’ real concern lies), they’re trying to make everything better for everyone, but on the small scale, individuals are more like components of a science experiment, and Aquarius is just gathering data.
11. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancer is the master of the guilt trip. For them, the fight is never truly “over,” and they’ll dredge up every rotten thing you’ve ever done to them in order to make themselves seem like the martyr.
Cancer knows exactly how to exploit others’ weak spots and manipulate you into trying to make up for past wrongs again and again.
12. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpio is associated with law, but that doesn’t mean they always follow the rules! Manipulative and shrewd, Scorpio is more likely to use their innate understanding of how the universe works to find every loophole, every hidden advantage, and bend any situation to their favor.
And they’re good at it — you won’t even realize that anything was out of whack until much later, if ever.
