First dates are so nerve-wracking. Do you feel the spark? Does your date? If there’s no spark at first, is it possible that you could kindle something great between yourselves over time, or is it not worth the effort? Are you going to have to let them down gently eventually, or are you worried about whether they’re already trying to figure out how to let you down?
What an emotional roller coaster. No wonder so many people are afraid to ask someone out for the first time!
But let’s say that there’s definitely a spark there, at least for you, and you can’t wait to see them again. You’re dying to fan that spark into a roaring fire. Your daily horoscope can help keep you up to speed about what kind of energy the planets are bringing for both you and your date.
If you can get their birth information, you can create an astrology chart for them to see even more specifics about how they’re feeling about love in general. A synastry between your chart and theirs will show you how you can best relate to each other and help you devise a plan to grab their attention and get them focused on romance.
When looking at the full charts, pay close attention to the 5th house. This is the segment of the chart that rules new love and romance. The nature of the zodiac signs and any planets in this segment will give you some very good clues about how to get their pulse racing when they think about you. If Mars or Venus are currently transiting through this segment, even better: these are the planets of love, lust, and romantic encounters.
If you can’t create a complete chart for them, though, their zodiac sign is a good starting place. So, here's how to you get a second date, all based on his zodiac sign.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries can’t resist a challenge, but they don’t take hints very well, either.
Don’t play hard-to-get with Aries. Let him know you’re interested and then make him work to keep up with you. Promise that you’ll up the stakes next time, and he won’t be able to resist coming back for more.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus has a weakness for beauty and luxury, so make an extra effort with your appearance. Let him know that you’re just as interested in living the good life as he is, and talk about how you intend to make your fortune.
Taurus likes to take care of those he loves, but he’ll be intrigued with someone who’s as financially shrewd and sensible as him.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Gemini loves to talk and is helplessly attracted to people who can match his intellect. Be ready to switch subjects several times and engage in friendly debates.
Teach him something new, tell him that you want to know more about his favorite topics, and he’ll look forward to continuing the conversation.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancer is looking for someone he can trust. Don’t expect him to open up and let you all the way in right away.
This may not be the most exciting first date you’ve ever had, but if you’re hoping for a secure, traditional long-term relationship, Cancer is a good choice. He’s shy, though, so if you want a second date, you’ll probably have to ask him (and he’ll probably say yes).
LEO (July 23 - August 22)

Leo loves to be impressed. Make him feel as special as he already thinks he is, and he’ll get attached to you pretty fast.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
If you’ve got a date with Virgo, be prepared for a list of complaints. Virgo is a natural pessimist, but he’s not doing it just to be a whiner — he has the ability to see where things are wrong, and he knows what to do to fix it.
If you want to see him again, let him analyze you, too. He’ll appreciate someone who really wants his help.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Keep things light and fun on the first date, and listen closely when he talks about himself.
Libra is always looking for people who have qualities and skills that he doesn’t, so think about what you have to offer that’s missing from his life, and show him how you can help fill in the blanks.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Of course he’s looking for a sexy fling, but Scorpio can get that from just about anyone. If you want to keep him around for awhile, you’re going to have to play the game and be more enticing than your rivals.
You have plenty to offer besides sex, but don’t reveal too much on the first date. Drop hints, let him guess. Scorpio enjoys a good mystery as long as the pay off is worth the effort.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
It’s not too hard to get Sagittarius interested. As long as you’re fun, friendly, and can show him a new perspective on things, he’ll be eager to enjoy your company again.
Sagittarius gets bored easily, though, so the trick is to figure out how to maintain that “new” feeling after the tenth or twentieth date. If things get too predictable, Sagittarius won’t stick around.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Your first date with Capricorn might feel more like a job interview. He’s got a plan for his life, and he’s looking for someone to fill the position of “partner.”
Talk about where you’d each like to be in ten or twenty years. If his long-term scheme fits well with your own, don’t be shy: let him know that you’re qualified for the position.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius loves people in general, but when it comes to individuals, they can get kind of awkward. You might feel compelled to try to make him more comfortable, but resist the urge to over-share — Aquarius likes a bit of mystery.
Don’t try to get too close too soon, either, since he’ll run at the first sign of clinginess. The best way to keep Aquarius interested is to share his appreciation for the weirder things in life, and to show him that you’re one of them.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces is looking for someone to share his wild dreams and romantic fantasies, someone who will encourage him to express his emotional side.
Intuitive, empathic, and a little psychic, Pisces already knows whether you want to see him again or not. But he second-guesses himself so much that he can never be sure, so you’ll have to make it clear.
