Nothing is as exciting as a new relationship. Your focus is solely on feeling happy, and you look forward to getting to know your new partner and falling even more in love. No two people feel things the same way, and it can sometimes be challenging to decipher what you should do to strengthen your new relationship.
As with all other facets in astrology, the stars can also influence our love lives. Because of this, all of the zodiac signs have different things that get them excited about a new relationship.
For some people, it’s the thought of starting with a blank slate and the idea that things will be better than in previous relationships. You may be independent in every way, but that doesn’t mean you don’t crave love, companionship, and the thought of having someone who loves you back.
While a new relationship is a new beginning with a new person, it's important to know that both of you are human, flawed, and wonderful.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries are extremely optimistic, so when they're starting a new relationship they're excited about all the possibilities and adventures they'll be able to experience with their partner. They look forward to sharing the things they love, and things they can discover together.
Aries tend to be enthusiastic anyway, and a new relationship heightens that feeling for them.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
What gets Taurus excited about a new relationship is the feeling of being able to trust somebody, and the process of breaking down walls and getting close to someone. Taurus can be patient and will take the time to connect and bond with their new partner.
In addition, they get excited about discovering their partner's body, mind, and soul, and their partner doing the same.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis are also one of the more enthusiastic and energized zodiac signs, and what gets them excited about a new relationship is having someone who gets them. Having someone to have long conversations or fun chats with is something they crave.
They also enjoy having a partner in crime — someone to do fun things with and go outside their comfort zone.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers get excited by the thought that their new partner will be there for them and always have their back. This zodiac sign is very affectionate and caring; they love having someone to take care of, having a partner who listens to them, and is always there when needed.
Having someone that Cancer can trust is huge for them, and they will do what they can to protect their partner and relationship.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
While Leos are strong leaders, they need to feel supported. They get excited about new relationships because they tend to do well when they're in a partnership of some kind.
Leos love people, and having a partner energizes them. Leos naturally have a lot of energy and it's good for them to focus some of their energy towards another person. Knowing that someone is there for them helps them continue to strive towards accomplishing their goals.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos tend to be very curious and get excited about their relationship because of all the things they'll learn — about their partner, about people in general, and relationships. Virgo will feel intellectually and emotionally challenged, and they love that!
They enjoy discovering the things they have in common with their partner, and the things they never knew about before being in the relationship.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras get excited about new relationships because they love romance. They love the whole process, and when they start a relationship with someone, it feels like winning to them.
They want to be #couplegoals and for everything to be romantic and perfect. And, at the beginning, it almost always is. Libras love the relationship best at the beginning, before the real hard work begins.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios get excited about a new relationship because they tend to be hot and passionate. With a new relationship, Scorpio can express their intense feelings and not feel anxious about doing it.
A new relationship gives them something to focus all their energy on. Scorpios don't like feeling lonely or bored, and with a new relationship, they don't have to worry about either.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarians are enthusiastic, optimistic, and fun to be around, making them a joy to be in a relationship with. They get excited about a new relationship and thinking of all the places they can go with their partner.
Sagittarius thrills at being able to share the world with someone new as it helps them see things with new eyes. They are great at solo travel, but it's even better when they can show someone things they've never seen before.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Relationships are the foundation of everything for Capricorns, so they tend to take them seriously. They get excited about a new relationship because they're hopeful it will sustain and be something that grows and strengthens.
A new relationship is the beginning of Capricorn's true life and the source of their greatest emotional happiness. They hope a new relationship will grow into something that grows as the couple does.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
New relationships tend to be exciting, no matter your age. And for Aquarius, they're exciting because the things that happen are often unpredictable and Aquarius loves a good surprise.
They like to be alone, in a group of people, but they especially like having a special person who forgives your flaws and won't turn away because you make a mistake. Being loved unconditionally is important for them.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
A new relationship for Pisces is a dream come true. They get excited about a new relationship because they love connecting with people on an intimate level — not just physically, but having a connection with the whole person and being able to share who they are without feeling judged.
Pisces are very compassionate, and they appreciate it when someone cares about them and what they're going through.
