We're all neurotic about something.

There are many reasons why people are neurotic. Have you watched the news lately? It’s almost impossible not to have things to be neurotic about! Things are changing so fast, it’s hard to feel as if we have any control over our lives at all.
Some of the signs of neuroticism include being hyper-aware, self-conscious, having a high level of intelligence, caring about the world and other people, being very energetic and productive, having a strong set of beliefs, and having a desire to avoid bad situations. Once you consider those things, being neurotic makes a lot of sense.
If we add astrology to the mix, the neurotic zodiac signs are often considered highly sensitive, which makes them vulnerable to things other people aren’t aware of. Sometimes we’re neurotic about things we have no control over; other times, we focus on the things we hold too much control over.
Neuroticism can also be environment-based. If you work somewhere where employees feel they could be fired at the smallest error, you would be extra careful to make sure you never did anything wrong. Teams (both business and sports) often work to foster an extreme sense of competition, causing its members to act in neurotic ways.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries are neurotic about doing or saying something inappropriate at the wrong time. These individuals are amazing at thinking on their feet and seem to have a real lust for life. However, they can be quick-tempered and fly off the handle with little or no warning.
They may hold things back until one day the dam breaks and all hell breaks loose. Aries are self-aware enough to know they can be quick to rage and that sometimes they don't think their actions through.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus are neurotic about their appearance and how the world sees them. To everyone else, Taurus comes off as confident and self-assured, but inside they are second-guessing their outfit choice, whether they should have gotten their hair done, and if people think they're unproductive and lazy.
Taurus know they shouldn't worry about what other people think and that theirs is the only opinion that matters, but their self-doubt still comes creeping in.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis can be neurotic about many things: Will they ever find a mate? Are they destined to die alone? Could anybody keep their attention? Were there nuts in that brownie? Is their boss happy with them? Will they be able to get a good parking place at the event?
Sometimes Geminis don't think they're enough, and other times they think they're too much. They can have anxiety about having anxiety. Gemini needs to see that some things they're neurotic about are things they should be hyper-aware of, and that they're not neurotic but they're sensible.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers can be neurotic about safety. They'll triple-check their locks when they go to bed or leave their house. They tend to have at least one security app on their phone. They take both their security and that of their loved ones very seriously.
It's not unlike Cancer to give out pepper spray or take (and encourage others to take) self-defense classes. They're also extremely cautious when it comes to online protection and are careful about where they share any personal information.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos tend to be neurotic about keeping up. Are they on point? Have they done all the research? Are they comfortable discussing the issues of the day? Leos need to be at the top of their game, but sometimes they worry they're lagging behind.
They need to have that competitive edge at all times and sometimes do too much to keep it. Leos are the king, and while it's true there's always someone lurking around ready to snatch the crown, exhausting yourself to stay vigilant won't help matters.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgo is neurotic about being perfect and having everything perfect around them. Neuroticism feeds off perfectionism, and vice versa. Virgo knows that perfection is an impossible thing to achieve, and yet, they can't stop themselves from going for it.
The more they fail, the harder they try to do better, and the worse they are to themselves. Virgos need to step back and see how perfectionism is affecting their life and try to find something else to focus on.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras are neurotic about their decisions. They don't make them easily, and then often regret what they decided. It's a rare case when one has the opportunity to have a redo on a decision, so it would be helpful for Libra to let it go and move on.
Don't spend energy on something that may have little consequence and that you can't undo anyway. Work on making better decisions faster and standing by them.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios are neurotic about being exposed and everyone learning their secrets. They tend to be extremely secretive and private, but they know that no matter how diligent they are, things that are best kept private can become known.
Scorpios keep things hidden for a reason, and that's because if those things would come out, they would be too vulnerable and open to criticism and pain. If they stay private, they will be safer.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius can be neurotic about their intelligence. They know they're smart, but when they're around brilliant people, they can become tongue-tied and not say what they want to say.
Sagittarius will doubt themselves and question how they come off. They'll wonder if they're smart enough or if they've been fooling themselves. The funny thing is that, of course, Sagittarius is smart enough and perfectly capable of holding their own in an intellectual discussion.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns can be neurotic about their jobs. They start to panic that they're not doing well and will be fired or demoted. Capricorns get convinced that the new person in the department is going to steal their job away from them, and then not only will they be unemployed but they'll probably lose everything they have.
Capricorn needs to silence those negative voices in their head, keep doing a great job, and trust they're doing what they need to.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarians can be neurotic about their health. They'll make sure to eat right, exercise, drink lots of water, and take vitamins/supplements, but still, when they get a cough or a slight fever, they immediately assume it's a terrible flu or something progressive.
It's not that they're hypochondriacs, they just feel susceptible to illness. If it gets Aquarius to the doctor and making sure they have health insurance, it's not a bad thing.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces can get neurotic over whether they're talented or special enough. Will they ever be recognized for the wonderful, artistic people they are? Or, will they live out their lives in relative obscurity? Pisces know they're special, but they worry if they're special enough.
Sometimes they think they're too different and need to tone themselves down a little. The good thing is that the creative energy will spark, and Pisces will come to peace with their uniqueness and special way of living in the world.
