Having genuine people in your life is very important. Every day we put our trust into the hands of our family members and friends, believing that no one is going to hurt us.
I remember in middle school I hung out with this group of girls who I thought were the most loyal friends ever. Meanwhile, they had actually been harassing me online, pretending to be someone I thought was a total stranger. Their reason for doing this? I’m still not really sure to this day.
But it led me to learning a really valuable life lesson: if we’re not careful about what kind of people we let into our lives, we can end up getting hurt pretty easily.
