He was arrested for assaulting his father.

Sarah Palin's son is in jail after police say he broke into his parents' Alaska home and attacked his father.

According to police documents, the former governor of Alaska called 911 on Saturday and said her son, 28-year-old Track Palin, was "freaking out" and on "some type of medication." While officers were en route, Sarah Palin called again to say that her son had broken through a window in their home and was attacking his father, Todd Palin

When police arrived, they said Todd was fleeing the home in a car and bleeding from his face. Track was still inside.

While trying to subdue him, Track allegedly called the cops "peasants" and told them to drop their guns. Eventually, he was arrested.

According to Todd, he got into a heated argument with his son earlier about picking up his truck. Todd said he told Track not to come get the vehicle because he had been drinking and was on pain medication, but Track came anyway.

Todd told police he had armed himself with a pistol and was prepared to "protect his family." When Track came through the window, he disarmed Todd and started pounding on his head before Todd could escape.

Track was arraigned on December 17 on charges related to domestic violence. He was officially charged with felony burglary, assault in the fourth degree and criminal mischief for causing property damage.

This isn't the first time the Palin son has found himself in jail.

In January 2016, his girlfriend told police that Track "struck her on the left side of her head near her eye with a closed fist." She also said he kicked her, threw her cellphone and threatened to kill himself using his AR-15 rifle.

The responding officer described Track as "uncooperative, belligerent and evasive with my initial line of questioning."

Track was arrested on domestic violence charges, including assault in the fourth degree, interfering with a domestic violence report and misconduct involving weapons charge of possessing a weapon while intoxicated.

He pleaded guilty to the weapons charge. The charges of assault and interfering with a report of domestic violence charge were dismissed.

After his first arrest, Sarah claimed her son suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder from his year-long tour in Iraq.

"My son, like so many others, they come back a bit different, they come back hardened, they come back wondering if there is that respect for what it is that their fellow soldiers and airmen every other member of the military so sacrificially have given to this country," she said. "So when my own son is going through what he goes through, coming back, I can certainly relate with other families who feel these ramifications of some PTSD and some of the woundedness that our soldiers do return with.”

The family has not commented on his most recent arrest.
