"I imagine a world when we smile when we see low batteries." Yeah, right!

I hope you’re not sick of all those "put down your phone and enjoy life" messages because Richard Williams (aka: Prince Ea) has another one for you.

The rapper/activist has written a powerful call to action that isn’t so original anymore but definitely still makes a lot of sense. He basically wants you to put down your phone and enjoy life. And not just because you’re missing out on all the good things that are actually happening in front of you but because you are literally wasting your life, 4 years of it to be exact, on looking down at your phone.

Other facts include the clever line about how our touch screens are making us lose touch and how we’re so focused on our iPhones, iPads and iMacs that we lose sense of the us and the we’s. Or how his friend wants to hang with him, but only on Skype (maybe he doesn't like him?) He also calls for Mr. Zuckerburg to reclassify his popular website Facebook to be called what is really is: an anti social media. Har har!

I get it. You get it. We all get it. We really should put down our phones and listen and hang out with humans more. We really should sign off of Facebook and sign on to living life to the fullest. But given just how immersed we are with the internet; I wonder if it’s easier said than done. After all, Williams did create a YouTube video instead of performing this at a live show. And with 10K followers on Twitter, it’s likely he doesn’t even follow his own wise advice.

But the message? Yeah, I guess he’s right enough.
