Everybody is rational about something.

Everyone, no matter their race or gender, has that one thing they remain realistic about. It doesn’t matter if your whole approach to life is a little more about ideas rather than practice; there are just some things you need to be practical about, like being able to take care of yourself and your family.
In astrology, there are some practical zodiac signs who feel this way about almost everything. And it's all just part of their personality traits.
There’s some part of their personality that doesn’t feel comfortable unless they’re able to put things into effect. They don’t like living in a world of “what ifs” — they want facts and concrete results.
Practical people are realists and determined. If they take risks, they’ve researched them and have figured out the odds of success (which have to be pretty strong for them to even consider going outside their comfort zone).
Impractical people, however, are less dependent on facts, and tend to be more imaginative and dreamy. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t practical from time to time. If you’re an artist and spend most of your time creating art, you still need a place to stay, food and water to consume, and money to pay your bills.
There are things in life you need to be practical about — jury duty, the law, taxes — because when you’re not, they will come back and bite you in the butt.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries have a very competitive personality and they don't like to lose. These individuals are practical about competition. No matter how impulsive they may seem, they're never going to go into a situation unprepared.
They want to be the best, and they're going to train and practice until they're satisfied they have a good chance at winning. Aries will push themselves, but they're not going to do anything they know they will fail at.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus can be very practical, but they do like to treat themselves well and can also be materialistic. However, Taureans aren't going to buy something if they don't have the money for it.
If they need to hold off buying something until they've saved some money, that's what they'll do. Taurus are patient and persistent so they don't need instant gratification; they can wait for it.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis are practical in the way they deal with people — they treat others as they would want to be treated: with kindness, respect, and a genuine interest.
If Gemini has a "do onto others as you would have them do unto you" attitude, it's because they have an understanding and love of humanity. They look for the best in people but they're not naive — just hopeful and practical.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers are practical in the way they don't live beyond their means. They tend not to buy things on credit, and if they have a balance on their credit cards they pay it off each month.
Cancer's priorities are home and family. These individuals aren't going to live in a house they can't afford, buy a car that isn't suitable for them, or even go out to eat all the time.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos are practical in many ways, but they're most practical about not starting unnecessary trouble. They aren't going to start something just because they want to fight. Leos have enough on their plate for them to borrow trouble.
Leos try not to worry about what might happen; instead, they focus on what they can do to improve the present. Leos take action, and they don't get so wrapped up in worrying about things to the point that they become immobile.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos are practical with their thinking and actions. They solve problems by being practical and don't take on more than they can handle. Virgo will finish one project before going onto the next.
They're focused and don't do well with having to put their attention on many different things at once. Virgos know that if they try to do too much, the quality will go done or remain unfinished, they'll get stressed, and they'll let people down.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras are practical about using things up or re-purposing them. They are cognizant about the environment and try to do what they can. They'll use something as long as possible.
Libras will hold off buying a new car or appliance. And if they paid a lot of money for something, they're not going to get rid of it just because there's a shiny new model available. They make do with what they have.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios are practical about the truth. They may be mysterious and secretive, but they try not to lie. However much they tell the truth, they draw the line at being cruel. This individual isn't going to try to destroy you with the truth; they'd rather not say anything at all.
It's not practical to go around being mean just because you want to hurt people, and that's not Scorpio's way. Scorpios are sensitive and know that deliberately hurting people isn't going to end well in the long run.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarians are practical about decision-making. They know there's a time and a place to make a decision, especially one that will have a big effect on your life. Sagittarius try not to make an important decision when they're in an emotional state or when they don't have all the facts needed to make a responsible decision.
While there are some decisions that need to be made on the fly, Sagittarius tries to limit those so they can carefully consider a decision before deciding.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns are practical about almost everything. But they're the most practical about their future. Capricorns want to make sure they have some plan in place for things like their retirement, their children's future, and even their own goals.
They make plans and figure out the steps they need to take in order to ensure things happen the way they want. Capricorn is more than willing to do the work to make sure their future is realized the way they envision it.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarians are practical in the way they adjust to what's happening in the present. If something isn't the way Aquarius would like it to be, they take action. They don't wait and hope that things will change.
Aquarians are creative and have big ideas, but they are practical about the way they help those things come into fruition. Aquarians learn from trial and error, and they don't let a mistake derail them.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces are practical with common sense. They may have fantastic imaginations and artistic sensibilities, but they know there are some things you have to have in order to live. Whether it's a studio apartment or a loft, the Pisces individual needs space to create, and they need to know where their next meal is coming from.
Starving artists may be romantic, but they're not practical. Pisces know they have to be able to take care of themselves before anything else.
