It's much different than throwing shade.

We all have within us the ability to act in shady ways. Some are shadier than others by nature, while some reserve their shady behavior for the right moments.
Doing something shady is not the same as "throwing shade," which is slang for disrespecting someone in an obvious way. When we throw shade, we're usually doing it for effect: to hurt someone and get applause for it. And just like everything else, using astrology is a way for us to find out who the shady zodiac signs are.
But doing something shady has range; you can approach doing your taxes in a shady way, and in the same breath, you can cheat on your spouse while letting them think all is well in the household. That's truly shady. You can lie to your mate, your child, your parents, your peers — that's shady stuff, right there.
Astrology influences the kind of shade you throw. You may be a liar, a cheat; you may be someone who hurts, uses, insults another. Your zodiac sign dictates the ways you can be shady. So, what is the shadiest thing the zodiac signs do? Here are some examples.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Because you're smart, you're able to watch your own back, which makes shady behavior successful in your case. Your shady move? Outright lies, right to the face of whomever your pulling one over. Masterful lying gets you the Shady Award of the Century.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
You have been known to steal, and I mean money, time, material things, and hearts. Your claim to shady fame? You are exceptionally good at cheating on your mate, and when they find out, you blame it on them.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
You like to speak without words so you can't be blamed for saying the wrong thing. In this way, your silent treatment is your weapon. You're a master of ghosting people, and you leave your friends and family in the dark without explanation.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
You like to invite people into your life so you can be praised for your kindness. Your ego is huge and your shady behavior shows up as giving false hope to others. You trick people, then you leave them without explanation.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
You're an outright liar, and you never ever apologize for hurting or destroying anything. When you want something, be it a thing or a person, you will destroy to get it, and you will always justify your actions, which are top-notch shady.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
You aren't really all that shady; you're more of an "out of the closet" hater. You don't care what people think, and you hate mostly everything and everyone out there. Your hate isn't shady — it's obvious.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Because of your inability to be honest, you end up being the shadiest player in all the zodiac. You lie to people's faces, while draining them of their love and emotion. You love no one but yourself, and your treatment of others is shady, to say the least.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
You get off on power, and to get it, you'll hurt, steal, stab, betray — whatever it takes. You're strong and stoic, and your fight is all about having control over others. You will cripple someone emotionally to get what you want from them, and that's downright shady.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
You've been known to tout yourself as the best friend someone can have, but anyone who befriends a Sagittarius should be warned: this sign is not loyal; they cannot be good friends. Do not trust a Sagittarius for a friend, as their shady behavior will surely make a mess of you.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
You like to cut people out of your life for no reason at all, and you do it with insults. You're the master of insults and for some reason, you're also proud of it. You like making people feel like crap, and you do it with a smile on your face. You are shady, corrupt and confident.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
The shadiest thing you do is that you claim the right to choose, but you always choose to hurt. You will defend your shady actions as "your right" but you always use that right to do something awful to another human being.
PISCES (February 19 - March 10)
Being the most manipulative sign of the zodiac, you know exactly how to be shady, and you use that shade to get what you want. You know how to make people feel guilty so they'll give you what you want, and you use emotional blackmail to serve your ends. That's pretty dang shady.
