This is what they do to make their friends feel better.

The challenges we all face can get pretty overwhelming, and one of the hardest things is to stand by while a family member or close friend is in pain. No one enjoys feeling distraught and sad, so if we can, we do anything in our power to understand how to cheer someone up.
Each of the comforting zodiac signs has their own way of lightening up a sad or tense situation. Some signs are better at keying into what the other person needs, while others generally do what would cheer them up. Luckily, astrology and our horoscopes can act as great guides.
Sometimes when someone is trying to make you feel better, it doesn't matter what they do, it’s just that they care enough to try. When you’re feeling upset, there may not be an easy solution, but having someone who will listen to you or give you advice is all you need to feel better.
However, there are times when you don’t want to have a deep, meaningful conversation and what you really need is a distraction. It may not seem like much, but sometimes just getting out of the house and going to the movies will lift your spirits.
Life is hard and having friends who care enough, and who do whatever they can think of to cheer you up, makes the challenges and negative feelings of life that much easier to bear.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
When an Aries wants to help get someone out of their funk, they'll do something unexpected and lively. They might suggest horseback riding, riding a roller coaster, or going on a mini road trip. They want to distract and give the person something new to look at and do so they'll forget about their troubles.
If the person can't get away, Aries might arrange a movie or game night at their house — anything to get their friend to stop thinking about whatever is making them sad.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus likes to cheer their friends up by giving hugs, massages, or making them dinner — all the things that Taurus loves. Taurus will make sure their friend feels comfortable enough to talk about their troubles or avoid the topic altogether.
If their friend just needs have them hold their hand and listen, Taurus is available. They take being there for their friends and helping them feel better very seriously.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Gemini will try to cheer up their friend with humor and might take their friend out to a comedy club or sketch show. Gemini may send their friend thoughtful texts checking in with them to make sure they're doing okay or will send them a bunch of cute animal videos on YouTube — anything that will make their friend smile or laugh.
If Gemini has to act silly to cheer up their friend, they're down with that too.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancer will try to cheer up their friends by letting them know they're there for them. Cancers will give them their shoulder to cry on and will listen to every word their friend says without interruption and without needing to add their own experiences to the conversation.
They will just let their friend rant if they need to, and they'll let their friend know they can stay with them if they need to because they should consider Cancer's home their home too.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leo will try to cheer up their friend by giving them a gift certificate to a spa and having their friend get pampered all day. It's a thoughtful and extravagant gift, which is very Leo.
If a spa day isn't their friend's thing, Leo might send them some expensive chocolates or a great bottle of wine — something indulgent that their friend might not buy for themselves. Leos are very thoughtful and if their friend isn't feeling so great, they will want to do whatever they can to put them in a better mood.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgo's first instinct would be to fix whatever they can to help their friend feel better. However, sometimes it's not as easy as fixing a computer to cheer someone up.
Virgo may help their friend clean their house because that always makes Virgo feel better or they may take them to their favorite spot at the beach or in the park — somewhere where they can think and where Virgo can support them with or without words. They may make a playlist for them of all their favorite upbeat songs or mood-elevating music.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
To cheer their friend up, Libra would use some pet therapy and either take them to a dog park, a cat cafe, or encourage them to take their dog for a walk. Libra might sit down with their friend and suggest a brainstorming session so together they come up with some solutions to whatever is making the friend unhappy.
Libra would make sure that their friend felt as if they could tell them anything and that their secrets would be safe with them.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpio might cheer up their friend by hiding positive and uplifting notes around their friend's home with sayings like "You've got this" and "You're stronger than you know."
Scorpio would listen intently to what their friend had to say, ask open-ended questions, and would give thoughtful advice when it was asked for. Scorpio may suggest that they meditate for 15 minutes and/or do yoga to get in touch with their spiritual side.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius will take their friend somewhere they can experience nature such as a bike ride along the coast or a hike in the mountains. If their friend isn't into nature, Sagittarius will take them shopping or to a museum — something they enjoy that will distract them from what's bothering them.
Sagittarius will encourage their friend to feel safe enough with them to cry it out, knowing that sometimes fully expressing feelings are the best way to get to a place where you're able to move on.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
In order to cheer up their friend, Capricorn may decide that their friend needs sleep, so they will agree to babysit while their friend has a nap, or they might book a luxury hotel room so their friend can have a mini-staycation.
Capricorn may help their friend to set goals and focus on what they can do that will give them a happier future. They will be there for whatever their friend needs and their friend will know that Capricorn is loyal, dependable, and wants them to be happy.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius would encourage their friend to get out of themselves for a little while by volunteering in the community. They might go to a local food bank or volunteer to help kids, animals, or the environment.
Then, Aquarius might suggest that their friend make an appreciation list about everything they have and are grateful for.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces would emphasize and sympathize with their friend. Pisces are very understanding, and they would be able to see things not only from their friend's point of view, but they'd also have the ability to see things from their own to help come up with ways to make their friend feel better.
Pisces would probably also use some art therapy to cheer up their friend and suggest they go to one of those "paint and sip" places, or have a contest where the two of them go around the neighborhood taking pictures and whoever takes the best shots win.
