Way to outdo Arianna Grande and Pete Davidson
With whirlwind romances being popular among celebrities these days, fans were eyeing new lovers Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin. And it seems like they had a little fun with it.
On June 20, Justin, 24, was photographed at a club in Miami with Hailey, 21, while wearing what looked like a wedding band. So did Justin and Hailey get married?
Probably not.
TMZ reported that the stunt was just a prank organized by Justin to get a reaction out of the paparazzi.
Sources say he slipped a ring onto his left ring finger and wanted to "sit back and watch the internet explode."
Which is what happened.
"did Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin get married? I cannot be the only one that notices that Justin never really wears jewelry, and he’s got a ring on his left ring finger?!?!”
However, it seems like not everyone was amused by the joke. His ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, was upset to hear he had gotten back together with Hailey.
“Selena is doing her best to not pay attention to what Justin is up to, but it’s impossible. Her friends text her and tell her what is going on constantly. She enjoys being single but knowing Justin is moving on still hurts,” a source close to her said.
While sources haven't commented on how Selena feels about this latest prank, they suggested she wasn't happy when Justin was photographed carrying Hailey around the same way he used to carry her around.
This marriage prank was coincidentally pulled after a source denied to People that Hailey and Justin were even dating — even though they've frequently been photographed packing on the PDA.
“He is single and not dating anyone seriously,” the insider said. “He is doing very well. He has known Hailey for years — she is very involved in Justin’s church. He likes hanging out with her. She is a wonderful person. They have fun together, but they are not in a relationship. They are two single people that enjoy each other’s company.”
They dating a few years back but called it quits in 2016.
