She's reportedly three months along.

Pippa Middleton reportedly announced she is pregnant with her first child amid the birth of her sister Kate Middleton’s third baby.

The younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting baby No.1 with husband James Matthews and is “overjoyed” about the pregnancy.

Pippa, 34, and James, 42, shared the news with relatives after she went for her 12-week checkup, The Sun reports.

“It’s long been a dream for Kate and Pippa to be pregnant at the same time,” a Middleton family friend told Us Magazine last August. “To share that would be amazing.”

Pippa is thought to be about three months into her pregnancy, which means she was able to enjoy a short time being pregnant with her sister before Kate gave welcomed a new baby boy on April 23.

A friend of the couple told the outlet that Kate "could not have been more delighted" that her sister is pregnant.

“When Pippa found out she was pregnant, she was obviously thrilled and utterly overjoyed,” the friend said. “Naturally, big sister Kate and parents, Carole and Michael, were the first people she told — James aside — and they could not have been more delighted. It’s been a tough few weeks for the two families, so this has provided some much-needed happiness and light relief.

The soon-to-be-mom married her financier husband last May and the two have reportedly been eager to start a family.

“Pippa and James have always known they wanted children,” an insider told The Sun. “They have made the most of their first few months of marriage and felt the time was right to expand their family.”

Last year Us Magazine reported that “starting a family is something they’ve spoken about since long before they got married,” and that Pippa and James “trying for a baby” in August.

“She’s a brilliant auntie to George and Charlotte — they always look forward to playing with Pips,” a Pippa insider told Us Magazine. “They bring out a soft, playful side of her. She will make a fantastic mother.”

The couple lives in west London, just miles away from Kensington Palace, where Kate and Prince William reside with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and their newest baby whose name hasn’t been announced to the public.

Due to Pippa and Kate’s close relationship, their children may become close friends. They certainly live close enough for their little ones to have play dates often.

Pippa’s first baby, whose gender has not yet been revealed, should be due in October.

The news of Pippa’s pregnancy comes just weeks after her father-in-law was accused of rape by two women, one of whom was a minor.

James’ father, David Matthews, was arrested in on March 27 when a woman, now 36, claimed he raped her in the late nineties in St Barts.

He denies the claims made by the woman but there is reportedly a lot of “serious and consistent” evidence against him.

“David Matthews categorically denies the allegation and unequivocally contests the untrue and scandalous accusation,” a spokeswoman for the 74-year-old hotel owner said.

A second woman came forward early this month accusing the millionaire of raping her in the 1980s while in Paris, according to The Sun.

Matthews is being investigated by French officials on charges involving the rape of a minor. Law enforcement has not announced how it is handling the latest allegation, which surfaced on April 4, against Pippa’s father-in-law.

The family hopes the news of a new royal baby will take the spotlight off of the rape allegations.
