Rejection is a hard pill to swallow.

Some of us just don't get the hint. We actually think that if we fall in love, no matter who we fall in love with, we're going to receive their love back in return. And not only that, we think we have some kind of special power that will make that person fall in love with us... which kills us when we find out the awful truth.
Even if you're an avid follower of astrology and check your horoscope on a daily basis, it can come as a big blow when you have an unrequited love interest. And some zodiac signs fall into this pattern way too often.
There are people who are very attracted to that which they cannot have. Perhaps it's about thinking that love can change things, or perhaps it's about setting themselves up with rejection in advance so they can feel badly later on.
While that may sound convoluted, it's a thing people do. When we're neurotic enough about our bodies or ourselves, we sometimes unconsciously put ourselves in situations that aren't going to work, because the true comfort zone is in the sameness, not the difference.
If we fear change, if we fear intimacy. We may be the ones to fall in love with those people who are not available to us. That way, when they reject us or don't come through, we can say, "I knew it" and feel oddly satisfied that we were right.
Most of us have done this, but a few of the zodiac signs are more prone to having an unrequited love interest and falling for people they can't have. Of all the signs, these are the ones who put all of their love and devotion into people they can never have.
1. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
This bold, strong, daring sign is also made up of people who unendingly go after people who don't want them — and they still don't take a hint.
Aries has a bit of a savior complex, and they believe with all their hearts that if you're not in love with them now, you will be because they will show you how truly special they really are... and you'll believe. Right? Right?
2. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
They come with such a sense of confidence that it's hard for any Scorpio to think someone wouldn't want them, in any capacity. That's why Scorpio is right up there with shock and awe over how the object of their desire doesn't desire them back.
It's ridiculously unfeasible to think they'll be rejected or disliked, so they try and try again. But once they DO catch a hint, you're toast.
3. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
These poor old sappy romantics fall in love so hard that it hurts... which makes it worse for them because they're always falling in love with celebrities, adding to the "impossible" factor.
The up shot for Sag is that, if they can't have you, they make up an entire world where they DO have you, and well... that's that for that. Just ask a Sagittarian if they're in love and they'll always tell you, "Yes!" But don't be surprised if the person they love is invisible, because in a Sag's mind, they're not. Yeah, it's complicated.
4. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Love is so important to Pisces that they look for it in all the wrong places. Pisces truly wants to be in love; it makes them feel whole. They are not loners and they depend on others, and they pursue love and romance very seriously.
Unfortunately, they are so fervent in their search for the perfect mate that they always stumble on the extremely not-so-perfect mate. The irony is that they don't want to hurt, and that in itself attracts the idea of pain and heartache into their lives. Law of Attraction!
5. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taureans are used to getting what they want. Unfortunately, they themselves find getting what they want boring after a while, and so, without knowing it, they tend to fall for people they can't possibly have.
Their tenacious stubborn quality doesn't let them let go, and they will try and try to seduce the very person who doesn't even notice they exist. Their essential motto: "I tried."
