Seth Rogen's Marriage Proposal Was 'Superbad'

The funnyman made a boob of himself during his proposal to his topless girlfriend.

Comic actor Seth Rogen made like one of his signature characters when he bumbled through a sweet-but-hilarious proposal to his longtime girlfriend Lauren Miller recently.

We love this couple for so many reasons, but, most of all because they seem very real. They met before Rogen was famous (or buff) and have stuck together as his star has risen. Rogen, who recently slimmed down for a role in Green Hornet, has been very vocal about how grateful he is to have such a hot, smart woman in his life. Miller, meanwhile, has been managing her own career as a writer-actress without taking advantage of Seth's success to boost her status. (Okay, she's taken a few small parts in his films, but really, can you blame her?) Seth Rogen Is Engaged!

Men have a reputation for getting jittery when they're about to pop the question, but Rogen's nerves (like the man himself) seem especially dramatic. According to US Magazine, Rogen was excited to propose to his sweetheart, but anxiety got the best of him once he had the ring in hand:

"Literally, I felt like someone had given me like a truckload of heroin to hold onto, I felt like the feds were going to kick in my door at any second."

Because he was so nervous, the Apatow-clan actor decided to forgo more elaborate plans in favor of an immediate proposal. He charged into the closet (don't people usually burst out of those?) to find his lady love in an unexpected state of the half-naked variety.

"She was literally only in her underpants and [her chest] was out...I’d already kind of started, and I was like 'Oh man, her [chest is] out! That’s not part of the plan!'...I didn’t picture it like this, and I know she didn’t picture it like this. No little girl is like ‘It’ll happen in a closet with my [chest] out.'" Whatever childhood dreams Miller might have had about romance, she said yes to Rogen's blundering proposal. She must be used to his antics by now, right? For better or worse (and we're going to go with "better" here), she's ended up with a lovable goofball who knows just how lucky he is.

Congrats to the happy couple! Just make sure you're better prepared, sartorially-speaking, for the actual wedding ceremony.
