Sagittarius is known for their independent and adventurous spirit.
They are blunt zodiac signs known to tell it as they see it.
However, there are times when the text messages stop and they seem to ghost you.
What does it mean when a Sagittarius starts to ignore you?
They love their freedom and they like to keep life interesting for themselves and those around them.
This can cause them to become easily overwhelmed by commitment and could lead to them ignoring you.
It doesn't feel good when they cut you off or seem too distant and no longer interested.

Here's what to do when a Sagittarius ignores you:
1. Feel out the situation.
It might seem like the Sagittarius in your life is blowing you off but they might have something big up their sleeve and don’t want to give it away.
Before jumping to a negative conclusion, think of reasons they would be trying to surprise you.
Do you have a birthday coming up? Anniversary or special date night? Keep your eye out for a Sagittarius surprise.
Sagittarius loves to pull off sweet surprises for their loved ones.
They might be ignoring you more because they don't want to accidentally give it away.
If they are otherwise being nice to you, this might be the case.
2. Give them space.
Okay, so you’ve figured out that they aren’t being distant in a positive way and you’re not sure why.
Try giving them some space and laying low for a bit.
Sagittarius likes their alone time and freedom, they may be feeling suffocated.
This can cause them to be a little scared of commitment and being tied down.
They consider themselves to be a free-sprit and being around you all the time might make them feel like they are in jeopardy of losing this trait.
This is not your fault, it’s just in the nature of the Sagittarius to be a one-man show.
Spend some time apart and they will likely come around if they truly care for you.
While they are scared of being tied down, they are also secret romantics and long to be in love.
3. Talk to them.
If giving them space did not seem to help, ask them what the problem is.
They might be upset with you over a misunderstanding or want to take things slower, you'll never know if you don't ask.
Either way, it’s best to get everything aired out before proactively moving forward.
This will give them the chance to end the ignorance and come to a resolution if possible.
This is a great time for you to both set boundaries and to get to the root of the problem.
Having an open conversation about your issues is the only way to move forward without resentment.
4. Stay calm and collected.
Resist the urge to send a text demanding to know why they are ignoring you, instead be mature as possible.
Still ask them what’s going on but keep a level head and a cool and collected attitude.
Regardless of what they say or how they say it, stay calm and express concern in a tactful manner.
This will show the Sagittarius that they are probably overreacting and might even make them feel a little silly.
Let's face it, ignoring someone is a little immature in itself so handling the situation like an adult will likely show them that they are being childish.
They might even end up apologizing for their behavior and give you both the chance to move on.
5. Ask a friend
Sagittarius are super social beings and they definitely aren’t ignoring your whole friend group.
If you have mutual friends, try reaching out to get the inside scoop.
Avoid being gossipy and simply ask if they have heard from the person ignoring you.
If they have heard from them there’s a good chance, they’ll offer more information.
Sagittarius isn't the best at hiding their emotions and will likely vent to their friends, making them the perfect people for you to ask.
This will also show you whether they have a good reason for ignoring you or if they are two-faced and just blatantly talking negatively about you behind your back.
6. Reevaluate the relationship
Sometimes a Sagittarius will pull away and ignore you because they don’t value you.
Whether you’re just friends or in a romantic relationship, the Sagittarius probably didn’t want to lead you on.
Yes, this is very immature, and they should have been upfront about this.
Call them out! Tell them that you understand if they want to part ways but that you deserve an explanation.
You might be super excited about the Sagittarius but remember that you don’t need anyone in your life that doesn’t want to be there.
If you have to do heavy lifting just to get someone to stop ignoring you, they probably aren't worth your time.
