When we’re in a relationship, we should be comfortable enough to talk about our feelings, concerns, and worries. When we don’t get the results we want from having a conversation, we push it and give an ultimatum.
In a relationship, an ultimatum can be a threat. If you don’t do this, then that will happen. If you’ve gotten to the point where you’re issuing an ultimatum to your partner, you’re probably frustrated and possibly confused about what you should do.
No one likes to feel as if they don’t have any power in a relationship. If you don’t feel your relationship is going anywhere, or if it’s not in the place you wish it to be, you’ll do something to get any kind of result.
Throwing caution and relationship advice to the wind, there are a few zodiac signs who give ultimatums in their relationship.
If you think your partner isn't paying attention to what you want, or is content with where the relationship is headed, you may have to give an ultimatum to find out if you’re both ever going to be on the same page. But ultimatums are usually something you do when you’ve run out of moves and you’re desperate for a change.
When you give someone an ultimatum, you’re being direct about what you need, and you’re gambling that they care enough to agree to your terms. If they don’t, you’ll be at an impasse and neither party will get what they want.
1. Aries (March 21 - April 19)
Aries can be confrontational, so they take it to the next level and issue an ultimatum. This zodiac sign doesn't like their precious time being wasted. If they want their relationship to change and their partner has been dragging their heels, Aries is going to make a big move.
If their partner doesn't agree to comply with it, Aries has a better idea of where they stand and can take the necessary steps to reach their goal. Aries know there are times when giving someone an ultimatum is a big risk, but it's worth it to them.
2. Leo (July 23 - August 22)
Leos are straightforward, especially about what they want in a relationship. They're not going wait until their partner finally comes around to Leo's way of thinking.
Leos aren't afraid to give an ultimatum because they've already looked at all possible scenarios and know what their next move will be. They tend to be confident in their decision-making and know how to go after what they want. If their partner is indecisive, Leo will push things to get an answer.
3. Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios are extremely focused on what they want out of life and out of their relationships. If their partner is being wishy-washy and won't commit, they will issue an ultimatum.
Giving people ultimatums means that for it to carry any weight, the person getting the choice needs to believe you're serious and you will follow through. Scorpio won't issue an ultimatum unless they're dead serious about it, and if that means breaking up, that's what they will do.
4. Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
If there's one thing we know about Geminis, it's that if they've issued an ultimatum, they've given it a great deal of thought, and they've exhausted every other idea. An ultimatum is the only move they think they can make.
It may feel manipulative, but it comes from an honest place for Gemini. An ultimatum is a way to create movement, and since Gemini hates stagnation more than anything, they're going to use whatever they can to create change.
5. Virgo (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos will also issue ultimatums for similar reasons to Gemini. They've given a lot of thought to how they can make something happen when their relationship is stuck. Virgos have looked at the situation from every angle, had conversations with their partner, and have done everything they can think of to stimulate change.
Virgos are happy when their relationship stalls. If they're ready to take it to the next level, they're going to strategize and force their partner to react.
