Don't expect an act of bravery.

Not everyone is cut out for bravery. It looks good in epic novels and sure does play out well in superhero movies, but in real life, are we that brave? Can we be the heroes we want to be? Or, are we just chickens*** at heart?
We all know that most mothers come with the Mother Bear complex, meaning they won't flinch at the idea walking into fire to protect their child from whatever monstrous circumstances there are. But there's a big difference between acting on instinct for the purpose of saving a life, and not being able to get up the nerve to answer the phone when it rings.
That's where astrology comes in, as it acts as a great guide for our personality traits.
Because for the cowardly zodiac signs, they will never put themselves in danger. People have it within them to be so noble, so brave, and yet, we fall again and again into the fear that grips us.
Just the idea that we use anonymous names in just about everything we put up on social media says something sad and fearful about our cowardice. We seem to have fallen so far from genuine courage, viewing acts of bravery as something "someone else does."
So, what is the most cowardly thing each zodiac sign does?
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
They lie. They do it to save themselves from uncomfortable situations. They lie and they defend their lies to the death.
They will never come clean, and you will never be able to confront them on their lie as they will never own up to it. (Don't get me started on apologies, because you'll never get an apology from an Aries.)
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Trusting people. While that might be something we all have issues with, for Taurus, they will literally back out of a situation they don't trust rather than... try.
They don't try, they don't put in the effort, and they often times lose out because of this irrational fear. Self-effort isn't big with this sign.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Lack of communication. They leave it all on you to figure them out. If you have an argument with a Gemini, they will leave the room, say nothing, watch you squirm trying to figure them out, and you'll never hear from them again.
They are deathly afraid of confrontation. (See: Donald Trump)
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
They hold grudges forever. Rather than accept the circumstance and try to move forward in life, they hold on tight to all they hate and let it transform them into bitter, resentful beings of cowardice.
Cancer has a very cowardly approach to growing, developing and getting better.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leo the Lion likes to think they are the pinnacle of courage itself. Unfortunately, this isn't the case.
Leo only steps up to the plate if someone is looking; without an audience, they slink back into the shadows where it's safe and they don't have to extend themselves. Cowardice shows up as social anxiety.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Never moving forward. Virgo is stuck. They are the most "stuck" sign there is. They dread the future and cannot possibly see anything but misery in it, so they root in once place (and state of mind) and never, ever leave.
Their cowardice shows in their awful life choices — ones that always keep them stuck.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Coming through on a promise. Libra wants to be liked, so they will say anything to make a person happy, and that means they will lie, plan, encourage and make the other person think they are trustworthy and honorable.
They are not honorable. Libras are liars, and lies are based in cowardice.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Backing out on a big project. Scorpio loves to get involved, but halfway through, you'll notice your Scorpio friend coming up with many excuses as to why they really shouldn't be involved at all.
When it comes to fulfilling a commitment, they let their cowardice get the best of them, time after time. They lack integrity.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Conformity. They just can't. And that is cowardice, because in order to survive, we have to at least try and act somewhat normal, here and there.
Sagittarius is so fearful of being thought of as "just another human" that they end up isolated and alone simply because their fear of fitting in ends all their possibilities.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Not conforming. Just as fearful as Sagittarius is of conforming, so is Capricorn for not conforming. They have a desperate need to be liked, and if they so much as smell resistance, they back down immediately and give you whatever you want.
They fight hard, but only for what you want. They fear speaking up and they suffer for it.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
The cowardice of Aquarius is so deep that they've made a lifestyle out of it. Fear of the world forges them into machines of great defensiveness.
They defend their cowardly action and rarely look inwards to see if what they are doing is right or wrong. Their cowardice is in an inability to be objective.
PISCES (February 19 - March 10)
Like Libra, Pisces is afraid to disagree with people, and a life spent saying and doing things just to avoid rejection is, well... no life. Certainly not an authentic one, that's for sure.
Pisces does not want you to be mad at them, and they cower in fear at the idea of displeasing you.
