Ever since we first started bringing astrology and horoscopes into our lives on a daily basis, we've come to know the stereotypes that come with each individual zodiac sign. How many times have you said, upon knowing you're just about to meet a Scorpio, "Oh no, they're Scorpio! That means certain trouble!" Or, "He's a Taurus, of course he's clumsy!"?
We may not be astrology experts, but just about all of us have an idea of what the zodiac signs represent, and what we automatically assume is the law when it comes to how we prejudge our fellow humans. People tend to see others differently, as soon as knowledge of an astrological sign is made available.
We have to thank whomever it was who came up with the avatars of our signs — the Sagittarius horse, the Aries Ram, the Pisces fish. Are all Virgos virgins? I tend to doubt it, yet that's probably a running joke for all time. So, how do people see you, according to your zodiac sign?
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Everyone automatically assumes you are a bully. If it's known that you're an Aries, it's known that you are pushy to a fault, egomaniacal, and relentless when it comes to getting what you want. People are afraid of you for more reasons than one.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
You're the one everyone thinks of as "friendly, but reckless." You may be the life of the party, but unfortunately for you, the party doesn't last forever, and so many people think of you as "the guy who didn't get the memo."
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
While you're perceived as two-faced and insincere, you are also known as the person who either says too much, or says nothing at all. Nobody trusts a Gemini, and that's mostly because you've done much to hurt people... without using words.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Everyone naturally assumes you sit at home all day and cook, while knitting and setting up warm, "hearth-y" type home spaces. People admire you for your homebody nature, but rarely do they actually want to befriend you as there is something insincere about the way you go about everything.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
The big show-off, the egocentric spotlight hog — it always goes right to this stereotype, but you are so much more. When people think of Leo, they think talent, ability, great attitude. If only you could get out of bed and start the day!
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
What we view as your unrelenting judgement on all of us is what makes you the scariest sign. We always know you don't like us, and we always get that "fight or flight" vibe when we're around you. Your lack of tolerance makes us want to run for the hills.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
The scales of balance are what alerts us to the fact that Libra is the most unbalanced irony of the zodiac. We think of Libra as the liar, the fraud who can't say what's on their mind for fear of hurting others. You'd rather lie, and we all know it.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
It can't all be sadomasochistic sex and violent, malevolent fun, can it? We tend to think of you as monsters dressed in leather and latex, waiting to destroy us mentally, emotionally and physically. People never associate Scorpio with happiness.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
We think of you as smart, aloof airheads. Invite a Sagittarius to your party and expect what you already know: they will slip into their own corner, speak to very few, and walk away alone, happily. People think of you as the creep who won't socialize.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
We'd rather not talk to you, as you tend to be a bit intimidating, especially in business. We know you as cheap, strict and austere; you're scary but you're wise, so we approach you with caution as we know you'll have the answer to our question.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
You've made your mark in this world as a first-class backstabber, and we all know it and are aware of what you could do to us if we were your friend. People know Aquarius to be untrustworthy, but smooth as silk while lying to our face.
PISCES (February 19 - March 10)
We think of you as the eternal mope, the sad sack, the weepy potato head that needs to stop feeling sorry for themselves. Unfortunately, we are right. Your sign is seen as a real wimp, and we don't have a lot of time to indulge in your personal nonstop self-pity party.
