6 Selfish Zodiac Signs Who Always Put Their Best Interests First

getty Are you careful to put your best interests first? While this may seem like a selfish thing to do, it actually can be the best thing you can do for yourself. Looking out for number one and manipulating things to your own benefit and advantage is taking care of your needs first.
However, there are some selfish zodiac signs in astrology who take things to another level with their manipulative ways. Because when you never practice a moment of selflessness, you affect everyone around them.
But despite the few individuals who act this way, putting your interests first doesn’t mean that focusing on yourself before others is a bad thing. No one should expect that things will always work in their favor or that other people will look out for them.
Sometimes you have prioritized yourself for your own survival. If you always give away opportunities or make choices that benefit others and hurt you, that’s not good.
People who put their best interests first tend to do well in business. They don’t get distracted by emotions or what other people will think of them. They do what they have to do to get ahead and succeed, and if that means being one of the manipulative zodiac signs, so be it. After all, you can still be generous, thoughtful, and even kind if you do things you profit from.
1. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios tend to be extremely alert and in the moment, and they're very aware of what is going on around them. If something can benefit them, Scorpio will take advantage of it. If they need to help things along or push them to be in their favor, Scorpio is going to do it.
They're very clever and they don't let opportunities slip by them.
2. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
If an obstacle is in Leo's way, they will deal with it and continue on. Leos don't let anything derail them from what they want to do, so it makes sense that if the opposite happened, and something of benefit was available to them, they would make use of it.
Leos are very intelligent and are great strategists. They may look out for number one but that doesn't mean they aren't loyal and generous to the people they care about. Leos know that it's important to take care of yourself.
3. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Like anyone, Taurus like having nice things, a comfortable life, and they're willing to work hard for those things. They know there are times when you have to grab something or take advantage of it before someone else does.
They also know that if you're generous to the point where you're neglecting your best interests, you're not helping anybody and are hurting yourself. Taurus knows that if you don't put your best interests first, no one else will.
4. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns enjoy having any kind of edge over the competition, but they're not going to do something that's unethical. However, if an opportunity arises that Capricorn must compete with others for, they will do whatever (within reason) that they need to; they're not going to give it away because someone else needs it. That's not practical.
Capricorns are wise and ambitious, which mean they know that success isn't just given to you. Rather, it's something you've got to work for and earn.
5. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarians know that you've got to make things happen for yourself, and that if something fortuitous comes your way, you've got to take advantage of it. Aquarians can come off as cold and cut-throat sometimes, but that's because they're ambitious and know not to let their emotions get in their way.
If they put their own needs first, it's not personal; they're trying to secure their future. Since they tend to be charitable, you know that while they take care of themselves, they also give back.
6. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis are sharp and can see opportunities and profit that other people miss. If there's a $100 bill on the ground, Gemini isn't going to go up to people asking if they lost it; no, Gemini will keep it for themselves.
Geminis are able to take advantage of luck and favorable circumstances in order to collect the benefits. No matter how much love is in their life, their own self-preservation and self-love are always going to come first.
