Isn't it funny how, especially using astrology, you can always predict who, among your friends, is going to be the one to come up with some excuse as to why they either can't come to whatever function there is, or how they simply can't do something because..."whatever." The excuse makers of the world start to become predictable after a while, and sometimes, we are they. That's exactly the reality for the zodiac signs who make excuses.
Perhaps it stems from a long-kindled desire to be free of commitment, or perhaps this need to consistently make excuses is about hedging one's bets; we make plans to show that we're involved, accessible and likable — but we never aim to adhere to our plans because in the long run, we just don't want to be THAT involved, accessible or liked. We make plans so that we stayed liked by our friends but as the plan becomes real, we slink back into that place where we actually feel anxiety over fulfilling the plan.
That's when we bail. That's when we come up with excuses to cover the fact that we actually don't want to be involved.

1. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
The grand liar — Libra — is possibly the King of all Excuses Making Ruses. Libra cannot handle confrontation in the slightest. It's as if one look into their eyes by another sets them so deeply into a trance of fear that they absolutely cannot come through with ... anything. Libra is the sign of fear and this alone makes excusing themselves an art form. When you have that many lies to uphold, you have to be vigilant; Librans make excuses for everything — they are completely unreliable.
2. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
I don't know how they do it, but Taurus, a very compelling and charismatic sign, has a tendency to make an excuse for everything. They can justify anything, whether it's bad or good. It takes a certain kind of audacity to come up with justifications for all of their actions but they are the masters of excuse-making.
3. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
When Scorpio makes a rude excuse, it usually comes too late and is constructed in a shabby way. What's guaranteed is that if you invite a Scorpio to go somewhere with you, they will not only not show, they will come up with some excuse that is specifically set up to confuse you. "Can't come, I'm in the Ukraine." Uh, yeah, that's also known as a 'lie.'
4. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Those born under this sign wish more than anything to be people of their word; they want to show integrity and honor, however, they overbook themselves to such a degree that it causes them shame and embarrassment, which in turn enables them to make excuse after excuse over why they can't be here, here or there. They are good hearted and intelligent but they are also scattered and stressed out.
5. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
After analyzing whatever situation there is, Gemini will weigh all options before committing to an event ... and that means that if it doesn't please them, they will opt for a no-show, but they'll excuse themselves in a rather dramatic and possibly convoluted way. Gemini evaluates everything for its worth, and if they know their presence is wanted in a place they don't want to be, they will make up many clever excuses to get out.
6. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgo's tendency to make excuses is rarely graceful; they do not merely excuse themselves, they come up with blatant lies to divert you from knowing what the real story is behind their wanton excuse making. Virgos are liars, much like Librans ... they don't just make up excuses for their nasty behavior, they lie their way out of it.
