Everyone has some kind of addiction, even if they won't admit it to themselves.

Generally, when someone uses the word addiction, we think of something that is very harmful and can do serious damage. We don't, however, tend to think of things like being on social media all the time or avoiding conflict as problematic, but any kind of unhealthy behavior we engage in can be an addiction.
Since addictions can be tied to our personality traits, it’s not unlikely that astrology and our horoscopes play a role. And when it comes to what each zodiac sign is addicted to, we can count on the stars to reveal how this influences the types of addictions we're susceptible to.
Addictions are destructive to our health, our sense of self, and our lives. It’s hard to have any kind of control when you’re dealing with an addiction, even when you tell yourself that you can quit at any time or that it’s really no big deal. Any addiction is difficult to overcome and can take a fierce determination to end the power that it has over someone.
We all have some kind of addiction, even if to other people it looks like a healthy lifestyle. Working out is good for everybody, but not when someone is working out two or three times a day and has a meltdown if they’re unable to go when they want.
Sometimes we have addictions we know aren’t good for us, but we tell ourselves they’re harmless and fun as we reinforce the dangerous behavior. It’s easy to lie to yourself when you’re addicted to something. Addictions are stronger than habits and harder to break.
There should be no shame in asking for help. We often need someone else’s perspective in order to see that what we’re doing is unhealthy and possibly dangerous.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries are addicted to risk-taking, which makes sense because of the release of dopamine, the brain's feel-good chemical, and the fact that most risk-takers have fewer dopamine-inhibiting receptors. An adrenalin junkie's brain is saturated with dopamine. The more novelty and excitement they get, the better they feel, so they're going to want to find new challenges and risks to take.
These risky activities don't always have to be dangerous, just living life on the edge can be risky enough to get Aries the high they crave.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
While Aries are addicted to risky behavior, Taurus tend to be addicted to smaller thrills that involve indulging in their senses. They love food, massages, spending money on luxury brand candles, bedding, flowers, and amazing sound systems.
Taurus are more likely to be addicted to going to the spa and having a "me day" than jumping out of a plane or eating too much.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis tend to be addicted to social media, even if they say they're rarely on it. Geminis love to give their opinion, comment and generally communicate with people.
They will spend hours on social media even though it makes it more difficult to sleep at night and cuts into their real-time social life. Geminis are not above thoroughly checking out a Tinder date beforehand on social media or seeing what's happening in their ex's life.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers are addicted to people who aren't good for them. They'd rather be with someone broken they can fix than be alone. Cancers thrive in a relationship, even if their partner isn't.
They'll never abandon someone who isn't good for them and will try to make the relationship work, even when it's clear that it was over before it started. But with Cancer, they believe that their love can fix almost anyone or anything.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Clearly, Leos are addicted to attention. Have you ever gone somewhere with a Leo that you thought had no potential for attention for them and watched while they created some kind of drama to put the focus back on them? It's truly remarkable.
A Leo can make anything a showcase for people to admire them. A show of a cover band in a bar? Watch as Leo joins them onstage. Leos tend to dress up for every holiday, bring the best gifts to other people's parties, and have such a captivating personality that people are naturally drawn to them.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos are addicted to being the smartest person in the room. Knowledge is power, and that power is intoxicating for Virgo. Luckily, they tend to learn quickly and are able to retain information extremely well.
They like to show off how much they know and their skills, so it's not unlikely that they might be at a trivia contest or a storytelling competition. Everything they do, Virgos try to do it well, which is why their laser-focus and attention to detail works in their favor.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras are addicted to their phones, which, of course, they've personalized. When they're feeling social, they can check their social media or text their friends. When they're feeling awkward or want to avoid confrontation, they can focus their attention on their phone and still come off as cool.
Libras have all the apps, so whatever mood they're in can be satisfied.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios tend to be addicted to sex. Well, they're very passionate and physical so it makes sense. They love to explore their dark side and are always up to experimenting.
Their high libido makes them always ready to go and they don't need much recovery time before they're ready to go again. Since they're very intuitive, they seem to know exactly what their partner needs and desires. Scorpio is addicted to the feeling of being sexually gifted.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius are addicted to change and new experiences. If they're in one place for too long, they'll get antsy. They need constant stimulation of meeting new people and trying new things.
They don't like feeling as if they're missing out on anything, so the more they can see and experience for themselves, the better. If they need a change of location and don't have the funds, they'll come up with a clever way to get a sponsor for their trip.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Work is an addiction to Capricorn. They tend to work too hard, too long, and skip their vacations. This addiction can be very damaging especially when a Capricorn refuses to slow down and take care of themselves.
They tend not to focus on what they're missing out on and look only towards accomplishing their goals and getting ahead in their careers. When a Capricorn is in the midst of a work addiction, they'll forget to eat, will skip working out, and will barely sleep, which is all very hard on the body.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarians tend to be addicted to having the latest technology. They'll camp out for days to get a new iPhone or virtual reality system. They love to be on the cutting edge, and new technology inspires their own creativity and helps them with their own inventions and innovations.
Aquarians will keep up with the latest discoveries so that when they're available to the public, they will be ready.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces has many addictions and it depends on their mood what they're going to indulge in. They might turn to junk food, binge-watch way too much Netflix, or have a little too much wine for dinner.
Sometimes when they're feeling inspired, they'll work too hard, or when they're not feeling happy or creative, they'll sleep too much. Pisces are in love with love, so it's possible for them to be addicted to love. You just never know what a Pisces is going to be addicted to.
