New Details About Ariana Grande And Mac Miller's Breakup

Another one bites the dust.

Another beloved celebrity couple has called it quits. 

On May 9, TMZ reported that Ariana Grande and Mac Miller broke up. It's not exactly clear when their relationships began to fade — especially since their both so cute and affectionate on Instagram — but busy schedules are apparently to blame.

Because the breakup was mutual and amicable, a source close to the former couple said they plan on remaining close friends. 

On May 10, Ariana confirmed the breakup on her Instagram story.

“Hi! This is one of my best friends in the whole world and favorite people on the planet, Malcolm McCormick,” she posted. “I respect and adore him endlessly and am grateful to have him in my life in any form, at all times, regardless of how our relationship changes or what the universe holds for each of us!”

Unconditional love is not selfish. It is wanting the best for that person even if at the moment it’s not you.”

“I can’t wait to know and support you forever and I’m so proud of you!”

Ariana and Mac started dating in September of 2016. He was there for her when a bomb exploded during her concert in Manchester. 

Mac has yet to post about their breakup online, but less than a month ago her supported her on Twitter for her first single since the bombing, "No Tears Left to Cry." 

"Very proud of this girl right here," he wrote. "Welcome back. We missed you."

Her new album Sweetener is set to release this July.
