No roses, but still a lot of drama.

Bachelor/Bachelorette fans rejoice! ABC has announced a new Bachelor spin-off series brought to you from the hit show's producer, Mike Fleiss, and looks like it will not disappoint.

ABC recruited former Bachelor contestant NFL star Jesse Palmer to host the ten-episode series premiering this summer on ABC. Although the exact premiere date has yet to be reported, Bachelor Nation fans are already getting excited about the new reality show. The Proposal — the running title of the show at the moment — follows ten daters who are vying for the heart of the potential man or woman who they hope accept their proposal in the end.

Die-hard Bachelor fans will remember Palmer as The Bachelor back in 2004. He stayed together with his finalist, beauty queen Jessica Bowlin, but he didn't propose to her and they broke up a few months later.

So what's the difference between The Proposal and The Bachelor? The biggest difference is that in The Proposal, the suitor will not be seen by the contestants for the duration of the competition and each episode will feature a new batch of contestants who will try to win the suitor/suitress over with first impressions, beachwear and even answer juicy personal questions. The elimination factor, however, is still key and the show will keep going until there are only two contestants left. ABC's tagline for the show currently reads, “Will there be a marriage proposal that can’t be refused?”

"I couldn’t be more excited about The Proposal," show creator Mike Fleiss tells The Hollywood Reporter. "I think Bachelor Nation is going to love it. It’s also great to welcome back a member of the Bachelor family, our host, Jesse Palmer."

Fleiss, of course, has had huge success in the past with The Bachelor/Bachelorette series and all of the spinoffs that go along with it (Bachelor in Paradise, Bachelor Winter Games.) Fleiss has recruited longtime producer pals Martin Hilton, James Breen, and Jason Ehrlich to help produce the new series. The four have also produced FOX's Love Connection

“No one other than Mike Fleiss could come up with a dating show in the form of a pageant. Viewers are going to love this show — it’s all part of the same DNA as The Bachelor franchise. Very excited for this summer,” Rob Mills, SVP, Alternative Series, Specials and Late Night at ABC told Us Magazine.

The latest season of The Bachelor had quite an interesting ending. Racecar driver Arie Luyendyk Jr. actually jilted the winner of the past season Becca Kurfrin to re-propose to his now fiance Lauren Burnham. "I feel like there needs to be more flexibility if that person needs more time. That’s what I needed," he said of the expectation to pop the question.  Perhaps this show will make the contestants more sure in their decision of proposing. Only time will tell.

The Proposal will air this summer, date TBD, on ABC.
