Daniel Wood was arrested on two counts of child pornography.

A man has been arrested on charges of child pornography after FBI agents found a stash of images hidden in a treehouse on a national park property in Washington.

According to reports, a United States Department of Natural Resources employee found a cache of child pornography inside a gingerbread-style cabin in Snoqualmie National Forest.

That discovery led to the arrest of Daniel M. Wood, 56. Agents found even more pornographic images at Wood's Mill Creek home, approximately two hours south-west of the park.

According to FBI reports, the staff member had looked for the house five times in 2016. He finally found it on Nov. 18, 2016.

The FBI reports that the staff member had to scale eight feet up a ladder. Inside, he found child pornographic images posted on the wall.

The cabin was linked to Wood, and he was charged with two counts of child pornography possession.

He also had a stock of several thousand photos and videos at his home.

The location was described by officials as "an elaborate treehouse that resembled a fairy or gingerbread house." Detectives said a porch surrounded the house, that also had a pitched roof and a ladder.

"Fairy-like" girls were depicted in the photos, according to agents, and some of them were naked. An envelope with more images was found, and while some were fictional depictions, many of them were real.

After the original discovery of the cabin, an FBI agent claimed to find dozens of photos of young girls and other items that had fingerprints on them. A search and rescue volunteer reportedly saw a Toyota FJ Cruiser traveling on a road near the cabin.

Several items from the cabin were seized, and digital evidence was also taken from Wood's home on Feb. 12, 2018. In that pile of evidence, was an SD card that reportedly had images from inside the cabin.
