They've reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Selena Gomez's mother was reportedly hospitalized after she learned that things between her pop star daughter and Justin Bieber were getting serious.

According to TMZ, law enforcement went to an L.A. area hotel last week to do a welfare check on Mandy Teefy at the request of a family member. She was taken to a nearby hospital to get checked out, but was not under a 5150 hold.

Teefy was reportedly upset after having a heated conversation with Gomez earlier that day about her getting back together with Bieber. When her daughter told her that they were in couples therapy, Teefy freaked out.

Teefy was released from the hospital that same day, and TMZ's source said she's giving Gomez time and space to figure out what she wants. But apparently, her family isn't willing or ready to forgive or accept him after what he did to her years ago.

While the details of their breakup aren't exactly clear, Gomez expressed in her music that Bieber broke her heart. Sources close to her family say that's the reason they're hesitant on her letting him back in — especially her mother.

Teefy and Gomez are reportedly so upset with each other that they've unfollowed each other on Instagram.

According to Hollywood Life, Gomez's fans noticed that the star wasn't following her mom on social media and vice versa. Though it would make sense that after a heated argument, they might unfollow each other, it's not clear when that happened. Or if they were ever following each other in the first place.

Gomez hasn't commented on the fight with her mother. She attended Bieber's hockey game Monday night after they flew to Seattle for a romantic getaway over the weekend.

There's been no mention of her fight with Gomez from Teefy, though she did pen a heartfelt letter to her daughter Scarlett, who she lost in a miscarriage in 2011. She mentioned Gomez in that message.

While Gomez's family may not be too keen on her new relationship, Bieber's family is thrilled.

“I support anything [he does],” Justin’s mother, Patty Malette, 41, said. “If he loves her, I love her. I’ve met her and we have a special bond. I think she’s precious.”
