Being single is a choice. Sometimes the choice to be single isn't always easy.
Your ex decided it was time to break up. Things didn’t work out the way that you both planned. Or maybe you were the one to break off the relationship. You weren’t getting your needs met and you deserved better.
No one should have to settle for less than deep, fulfilling love, so good for you for having the courage to walk away.
No matter how the breakup happened, there’s always that stage where you wonder why things didn’t work out, and then once things end, you ask yourself, "Why am I single?"
You can blame your ex for that quirky habit he refused to change. Or maybe you felt like the relationship took over your life and rather than lose yourself, it was better to make a clean break.
But newsflash: The one thing you should never do when a relationship is over is dismiss the whole experience.
You can learn from your past. Reflect on who you were before you fell in love. Figure out who you became while you fell out of love, and what you need to do to get back on your feet again. And checking your daily horoscope is a great way to do just that.
In the meantime, remember there’s a lot of positives to being single. You have more time for your friends, your career, and yourself. You can take the time you need to get to know YOU again, and when you’re ready, open your heart to someone new.

Intimacy sometimes requires letting another see your vulnerable parts. Just because you let someone help you, doesn’t mean you’re helpless. The brutal truth is you can’t let someone in without fear of losing yourself.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus, you have a lot to offer the right lover. You are known for your stability, ambition, positive energy, and an undying romantic side that keeps on giving. But let someone you love break your trust, your broken heart hides beneath a stubborn exterior.
It’s time to let go of the past and move on with your future. Security sometimes requires a little risk. If you’re ready to give up the single life, Taurus, the only person stopping you from happiness is you.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Gemini when you’re in, you’re ALL in, but you just can’t decide if that’s what you want. YIKES. That gets pretty dang confusing.
You hate to be alone, and but as soon as things become routine and dull, you are ready to call it quits. You’re single by choice for now. As soon as you find that perfect someone who shares your passion for work, play, and love, you might decide it’s time to settle down.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancer, your intuition and instincts are your strength. You are the friend people can confide in. You love your mother even if she isn’t all you wanted her to be. Your sensitive nature, love of privacy and sympathetic nature draws people to you.
But the cold, hard truth is that deep down, you’re pretty damn cynical about love. You’ve been hurt in the past and don’t know if you can get over your pessimism about love. The truth is you can if you are willing to let go of the past.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leo, you’re a leader who is warm, generous, and loyal. You love to be the center of attention. The only problem is you can’t ALWAYS be the center of attention, and that’s what’s getting in the way of your love life.
The (pretty obvious) lesson here? Simmer down and realize it's not a one man show. A partnership is about more than just you, so make sure that spotlight you so desire gets placed on the people you care about most too.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
You are a stickler for details, Virgo, sometimes a bit of a clean freak, and when it comes to analyzing a situation, NO ONE is better than you (and, of course, you know this already, don't you?)
The truth is, though, that you’re pretty brutal when it comes to others and you can come across as being all work and no play. You might well be single because of your high standards. So if you want to be able to have a true relationship, you're going to have to get down off that high horse for a bit and ride on everyone else's level.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libra is fair, easy going and a LOT of fun. You love socializing with friends whether it’s indoors or at a party. The truth is no one fights for injustice the way that you do.
But if a person you like turns out to be insensitive or rude, the relationship is over before it even started. You’re brutally honest about your feelings, which is GREAT, but try to learn to listen without getting defensive.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpio loves you until they, well... don’t. It takes a lot for a person to get on the wrong side of a Scorpio but the fastest way is to betray their trust. Not everyone can be as loyal and faithful as you are which is why you are still single — that's a LOT for a person to live up to.
Although you should never tolerate dishonesty, forgiveness isn't a bad thing to practice either. Try it out a time or two and you may find yourself in a deeper, more meaningful relationship than you think. After all, we're all only human. (Except for you. You're superhuman and don't you know it.)
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius LOVES love, except when the relationship starts to feel restrictive or controlling. The truth is too much togetherness is brutal on a Sagittarius who ALSO loves their independence.
You love your freedom and you’d rather be single if it means giving it up for too long, but isn't that what a relationship is all about? If you want something more than dining for one, you're going to have to give in once in a while and step out of your comfort zone.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorn, you’ve got a bad reputation for being an old-fashioned traditional type, but the REAL truth is that you like stability. There’s nothing wrong with being practical, the trick is to figure out how to balance routine and romance.
We can't all stay so traditional, so try to keep up with the times and mold a bit with what other people desire. You might find something in someone new you weren't expecting. But you can't unless you give it a real chance.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius, you are always helping someone in need. You’re a problem solver. But when it comes to figuring out why you are still single — especially when you’d rather NOT be — is a hard truth to face.
You’re often misunderstood as insensitive when your emotions run deep. Your challenge is to find a way to say in words what your actions don’t communicate the way you want to.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces, you love your me-time but you are also the first person to give a shoulder to cry on when someone you love has been hurt. On the outside, it might look like you don’t have time for a relationship or that you’re not looking for romance.
If you are tired of being single, you might need to overcome your fear of being truthful when you have to set boundaries around your time with family and friends. It's okay to be vulnerable, and believe it or not, there are people out there for you to lean on too. We can't be the strong ones ALL the time, so let yourself go once in a while and you might just bond with someone who can pick you right back up.
