Royal Baby Boom! Meet The Other Mini Monarchs

Pass the crowns. Here comes a new generation of royals!

This year proved a busy one for royal families!

From Queen Elizabeth welcoming her first great-grandchild in England to the royal family of Monaco planning for a wedding and a baby, little bundles of regal joy are popping up all over the place.

The latest news comes from Sweden, where newly-married Princess Madeleine and her American-British banker husband (who declined a title) Christopher O'Neill are expecting their first child. "Chris and I are thrilled to let you know that we are expecting a baby for early March next year. We feel so blessed and can't wait to become parents!" Madeleine wrote on her Facebook page. "Thank you so much for all your wonderful comments! We are so touched by everyone who has wished us well and are extremely happy to have such fortunate news to share."

This future Prince or Princess of Sweden joins these other wee ones as the newest members of Europe's royal families:

Just this week, Prince William announced that he is leaving military service to devote more time to charities (and presumably his growing family).
Lord Frederick Windsor and Sophie Winkleman
Prince George isn't the only new British royal born this year Last month Lord Frederick Windsor (a distant relative of William's—the Queen is a cousin of Lord Frederick's father, if you can follow that) and wife Sophie Winkleman welcomed daughter Maud Elizabeth Daphne Marina to the family. Little Maud is 42nd in line to ascend the throne if you're keeping up.

Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall
The next member of the British royal family is due in January Zara Phillips and husband Mike Tindall, who wed in 2011, are expecting their first child next year. Here, Zara dresses her bump in a figure-flattering trapeze dress, nude pumps and fascinator a la cousin-in-law Kate.
