Hugh Grant: Golf Is My Girlfriend

Hugh Grant

Says not even a woman comes close to the game's addictive physical sensations.

Hugh Grant, God love him, is the Prince Charming of RomCom's. And the latest, Did You Hear About The Morgans, co-starring Sarah Jessica Parker, looks sure to please.

Just like that character, real-life Hughey admits to having relationship difficulties off-screen. The culprit? Golf.

"I'm obsessed and it's destroying my life," he says. "Golf is an addiction."

Apparently it's so bad that he gets out of bed in the middle of the night to practice his swing in front of the mirror. Not something that would help keep a bed-mate around, for sure. What Golf Can Tell You About A Man

And he knows it:

When you say to a girl 'I play golf' her eyes glaze over. I do feel guilty about my golf. You know you're a sad case when you spend your spare time reading books on putting or going on YouTube to watch slow motion golf swings. [Source: IOL]

Replacing sex with golf it seems, he goes on to speak about the addictive physical sensation of golf, which for him is that rare moment when he hits the ball flush in the middle of the club. "The only thing that comes close is when I was taught to play the piano — the vibration when you hit a beautiful chord."

Hmmm... Don't think the ladies would enjoy playing second fiddle to his golf addiction.
