While some people flirt without even thinking about it, for others, it’s a way to express interest in another person through body language, wordplay, and touch. But there’s a difference between being friendly and being flirty, and sometimes those lines blur; then, it can be hard to tell which one your partner is being.
That's where the insecure zodiac signs in astrology have a problem. Their partner flirting can stir up feelings of jealousy and lead to worries about cheating.
When you catch your partner flirting, it can feel as if they’re ignoring you so they can have the full attention of another person — and that hurts! If you feel jealous, you don’t want to do something you’ll regret later, but not dealing with your feelings isn’t good either.
It’s hard to ignore those feelings of jealousy when they arise, but you don’t want them to intensify and cause you to lose control. It’s best to try and keep calm, and let your partner know their behavior is bothering you without making them feel attacked.
1. Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus is a sign who knows the importance of touch. A hug or a shoulder-squeeze can convey emotion and an intention. This zodiac sign craves touch and they are very sensual people, so when they see their partner flirtatiously touching someone, it makes them very jealous.
The only person Taurus' partner should be touching is them. When their partner is flirting with someone else, it tends to bring out Taurus' possessiveness, inflexibility, and jealousy.
2. Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios are sensitive, so when they see their partner flirting with someone, they get extremely jealous. Scorpios can get very obsessive when it comes to their partner, and when you put that together with their intensity, you've got a bomb ready to detonate.
In other situations, Scorpio would be able to access a situation before jumping in, but when they get jealous, they're no longer local or level-headed and react from a purely emotional place.
3. Cancer (June 21 - July 22)
Most Cancers would admit they can get a little protective and clingy at times, but that's only because they care so deeply about their partners. Cancer doesn't want the person their partner is flirting with to have any influence on their partner's actions — like convince their partner to leave them or cheat on them!
If Cancer's relationship is new or recently formed, seeing their partner flirting with someone new could make them feel insecure and afraid that the relationship won't last.
4. Leo (July 23 - August 22)
Although Leo can be a huge flirt, they don't appreciate their partner flirting with someone else. It feels almost disrespectful to Leo that their partner's attention and affection should be on someone other than them.
Being flirted with can be an ego-boost and it can be hard to deal with that kind of new admiration. Leo's jealousy of their partner's flirting could be the start of escalating emotions, which hopefully would lead to Leo and their partner having a discussion about what's okay in the relationship and what's not.
5. Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)
Most of the time, Sagittarians are casual, cool, and have a sense of humor about life. However, when they catch their partner flirting with someone else, they can get super jealous.
They are confident and have a strong sense of self, but even someone as self-assured as them can have their doubts when they see their partner fully captivated by someone else. When a Sagittarius gets jealous, they may act impulsively and without considering the consequences.
6. Pisces (February 19 - March 20)
When Pisces is in a relationship, they're completely devoted and give their whole heart to their partner. When they see their partner flirting with someone, it feels like a betrayal, and Pisces gets jealous. In Pisces' mind, it's not a far leap to go from flirting to cheating.
This individual has been hurt before and they don't want to be hurt again. They will try to ride out the flirtation and not take it seriously, but Pisces will still continue to guard their heart just in case the threat of their partner being unfaithful becomes a reality.
