They're fighters.

We can learn from the mistakes of others, we can swear that we’ll never repeat doing something that had disastrous results, and we can even give lip service that we don’t have to experience something ourselves to learn from it. But the truth is, there’s no better lesson than learning something the hard way.
When we’re growing up, we constantly learn lessons this way. We learn that pulling the cat’s tail will get you scratched, hitting a hard surface will get you hurt, and disobeying your mom or dad will get you into trouble.
Sometimes, we have to repeat the wrong behavior to drive the point home that we need to try another tactic. And if we delve into astrology, the zodiac signs who learn the hard way are brilliant, confident, but still need to learn a lesson themselves.
We discover who we are from learning things the hard way; we grow and become better people. But that still doesn’t mean that sometimes we don’t wish it was easier.
1. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Once Taurus believes something, it's extremely difficult to change their mind, and just talking isn't going to do it. Taurus think they're always right and it's hard for them to accept that someone else may know better.
They need to find out for themselves if something works or doesn't work, which means making a lot of mistakes — sometimes repeatedly — until they have learned.
2. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis can be indecisive, which means that one moment they want one thing, and then the next, they want something else. Geminis have to go through a lot of trial and error until they find the thing that works for them.
Luckily, they are flexible and adjustable, so they are used to coming up with a variety of ways to try something. And if they fail, they're okay with trying something else. Geminis have to build that muscle-memory to learn something thoroughly.
3. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
When it comes to matters of the heart and relationships, Pisces definitely learn things the hard way. They're almost too trusting, and give second chances way too often. When their ex tells them that this time will be different, it can set them up to get their heartbroken.
Pisces often have an idealized version of someone, and when that person fails to live up to their fantasy, this zodiac sign is the one who gets hurt.
4. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers tend to feel that things will be different for them, that they will avoid the pain and suffering others feel. It's because of this false sense of security that Cancers set themselves up to be hurt.
It takes them a while to learn that "sorry" will not change the fact that someone said unkind things to them and treated them poorly. But it's okay to forgive, as long as Cancer has more awareness and shows caution next time.
5. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries are impulsive and don't always think things through before they do them, and that includes mistakes. Aries sometimes find themselves making the same mistakes over and over again until they finally learn. But when they do learn those lessons, they'll never forget.
Aries are survivors, and that's because they learn things the hard way and have those experiences to remind themselves of the lessons they've learned.
6. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarians have a built-in arrogance, so they're not going to listen to what someone else advises; they're going to find out for themselves. Sometimes the lessons they need to learn are quick; other times, they're long and must be repeated for Aquarius to incorporate them into their thinking.
When they learn something the hard way, they learn how to direct their focus and zero-in on how to achieve their goals. For Aquarius, the hard way is the only way to learn.
